Hello!
There's no need to remove the tuner. Use video input. Good luck!

Yes, it can be the DC filter caps, or bad backlights inverter boards, or main board.
You need to look at a lot of signals before and after the problem occur. Very rare for the CCFL to go out.
Please read my guides to get more ideas on what to look for.

Where or how do i hook this up to cable am i missing a cord

User manual: http://www.retrevo.com/support/RCA-D52W23-TVs-manual/id/402bh435/t/2/
This RCA D52W23 is a High Definiton MONITOR, which means that it does not have TV Tuner built-in but it will accept the common video source up to high def video source.
If you have cable box, you will use the VIDEO OUTPUT of the cable box to see the picture on the screen. Please download and read the manual for more details.

I have a hitachi 53SDX89B model rear projection. I was recently trying to have it connected to ATT Uverse TV. Every time the tech hooked the DVR receiver to one of the inputs, it knocked out the service. ...

Hi,
Hitachi 53SDX89B is September 1999 model as its mentioned on its service manual that I have.
Since tv is too old so I'm afraid, no spare boards or parts would be available any more to fix its AC leaky current issue that damaging ATT U-verse service. (power back feeding out, we call it AC leakage).
There is one solution for that problem, buy Isolation Transformer and plug your tv in it, that will cure AC leakage from your tv and wont hurt any thing attached/ connected with this tv. Your tv consume 245 Watt power while working so 500 Watt isolation transformer would be good enough to keep turn On tv for hours/ days.
Below is an image of basic isolation transformer and click HERE to get required 500W isolation transformer.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

I bought a Mitsubishi HD1080 Medallion series 55" tv back in 2003. I just recieved my new upgrade Direct tv reciever box. Now my tv screen says it has been locked and I need a passcode to un locke it? I...

On your Mitsubishi remote you will have a QV (Quick View) button. When the television asks for the code, just press and hold the QV and then number 9 button at the same time and it will unlock the set.
I would also go into the main menu and remove the code using the same procedure.

I hope that this helps you resolve your issue.

NOU SOUND

well I have a work around and a solution possibly. first go threw your menu audio and verify external speakers are not turned off. if there is no setting or it is turned on already try a different video/audio input if nothing else if you have good picture you can use a stereo reciever to play the sound you do not have to input audio into the tv if you have surround sound go straight from your device(dvd, vcr, cable box etc.) to your sereo reciever just the audio plugs (red and white, not yellow unless you have a monitor out from your stereo in which you conect all three to the stereo input then one cable from the monitor out on the stereo to the tv in put

No sound when the tv is on and the mute is turned off

I still am unclear as to your hook up but lets try this, if you have your DVD/VCR plugged into the TV audio and video and a audio cord from the tv monitor out to an input on the reciever, this way you should hear the sound at the tv and reciever.
However if you have your DVD/VCR plugged into the reciever first audio and video connections made at the reciever you should just have a video cord fromthe monitor out of the reciever to the tv and your audio will come from the reciever

No digital to reciever??

This tv will only output the sound from a digital tv channel through the optical output when using the tv's digital tuner. So if you are connecting a DVD etc it will not output through the optical output on the tv. ONLY digital chanels through the tv's tuner will give you sound. Refer to the tv's owners manual for more info.
