Hello!
There's no need to remove the tuner. Use video input. Good luck!

Setting up x10 sender/reciever but get no signal on 2nd tv

You mean the second X10 power outlet receiver attached to the second TV does not work?
Same receiver works at another location? If you are using any AC line conditioner/surge suppressor, it will filter out the X10 signals since the signal is sent through the power line, the line conditioner will filter out that signals. I use X10 in my house also and have the same problem if it use it with line conditioner.
Please let me know what you find out, and please leave rating if it helps.

Tv/sat output on my reciever does not work

Make sure your audio input for TV/Sat is set to "Auto" If you have video passing to your TV from the receiver its a lot easire to navigate sony's GUI menu (main Menu) if not, run a basic video cable from the "monitor out" of the receiver to a video input on the TV. Then, using the sony remote press "menu" toggle thru the screens until you find "Audio" look for "input" then TV/Sat then set to "Auto"

I'm pulling this from memory, so if you still have an issue, please post a reply and I'll pull the manual and help you further.

How do you tell if you tv has a built in tuner?

Basically if it is called a television it has a reciever. If it doesn't they are refered to as monitors. Absolute easiest way it just look for channel up/down buttons. If it has then it has a reciever.

Hooking up my Sony HD Tv

Couple of items come to mind.
In the menu of the receiver, is there a way to choose video and RGB?
Set the receiver to SAT
Connect the HD Cable Box to SAT
Check the TV is on Monitor RGB.
Check the input being used by the monitor RGB cables is selected on the TV.
Have a picture? NO, receiver has issues.
Yes? Do this with each input to confirm they work.
You can reset the whole receiver to factory by holding the tone button down and holding the standby button for three seconds. (This clears your speaker setups, too.)

Connecting laptop to hd tv

IMake sure that you have the laptop for an VGA OUTPUT. When you toggle between the function keys. When your laptop LCD goes out it is in VGA OUT mode....when you toggle again it should be in LCD/VGA OUT (both TV and laptop should display). You need to set the TV to VGA mode as well...otherwise you might not get an output. If you still have a problem then test on a regular monitor to see if you are getting an output to the monitor

IF THIS HELPS PLEASE VOTE.....GOOD LUCK AND THANKS..

Installed surround sound, no picture on tv

I could not get my TV to recognize an S-video signal from my reciever either. I ended up just bypassing the reciever and running the video straight from the cable box to the TV. It might be a better option anyways as some quality is lost if you run it through the reciever.
