Removing or Reseating Oven Door To remove most oven doors:
  1. Open door to the BROIL POSITION, where you feel hinge catch slightly.
  2. Place your hands on both sides of the door near the handle.
  3. Lift the door up and away from hinges.
  4. If the door does not readily lift off, there may be 2 phillips head screws on the inside of the door down near the hinges that are holding it on.

A recently cleaned deep fryer. No water in it. When on the oil pops so violently that it makes the whole unit shake. Pops are very loud and occur every 5-6 seconds. It has worked perfectly up to now.

Is the oil new or old because if it's old there could be a drop or two of water in the oil itself. Also, have you tried to see if it violently shakes the fryer when the lid is open? Best of luck to you.

Need to replace door handle

Tip the door towards broil and lift it off the hinges being careful not to llet the hinges snap back inwards but if they do just reposition em back to broil before sticking the door back on there.
Remove the bottom plate first then you can get the top plate off and swap the handles. It has been a long time since repalced ne but the guys on the delivery truck used to brak the glass tightening down the strap too tight on the dolly. Seems to me like to put it all back you put the top to the door then attach thate base. The the plastic sides snap back into place as best I recall.

Our church has a hobart gf035a deep fryer, it seems the electrical plugin cord is missing, how or where would i go about getting or wiring a new electrical service for this device? is there a wiring...

Hello Gelliott162,

Hello I understand that you have a question about a cord for your church's Hobart GF035A. This unit does not have a power cord it is self-powred unit. The theromocouple supplys all the power that is need for the Gas valve to operate. If the unit is not functioning properly you may need to replace the thermocouple on the unit.

The thermocouple is the cooper looking wire that sets next to the pilot light. The pilot flame engulfs the tip of the thermo-couple. The heat that is emited from the pilot on to the thermo-couple is changed in to power and controls the gas valve.

The capcity of the unit that you have is 35 pound of fat (shortening or oil). Make sure that the unit is full of fat before you try to fire the unit, as firing the unit without fat will cause the units vat to warp and can cause the unit to leak.

If you need directions on how to fire a the unit or light the pilot please post back to this thread and I will be happy to assist you with that.

Thank you for chossing

How do i remove top of my amana gas stove

Most range tops for gas appliance can be lifted up by hand.
You may have a set of screws located just under the top just above the oven door. You should open your oven door and look up at the bottom of the range top to see if there are in fact any screws, if so remove them then lift.
If no screws you may need a small flat screwdriver to help lift the top. It does have a couple of snap clips that will hold it firm but they are just to hold it from moving during normal use.
Remember to remove your burner grates first.

Cant get oven door back on

Oven doors are made to lift off for routine maintenance but there might be problems if the spring load hinges are not disabled before pulling the door off the body.

There should be a catch which holds the hinge in the open position but if it is the release position (i.e. the state in which it is in for normal use), the I would expect the hinges to snap into the closed position when the door is removed from the body.

To rectify this, hold each spring loaded arm in the position it would be in the "door open" position and move the catch into the position which prevents the arm springing back when they are released.

It should now be possible to fit the door to the cooker.

When the door is fitted, release the catches.

Handle is broken on JVM1640AB004 Can I replace

The handle on a microwave oven door can easily be replaced. On MOST microwave ovens, you just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. This can be easily be accomplished by using a small screwdriver or putty knife and carefully insert along the seam of the inner panel and pry the plastic up. Work your way slowly around the perimeter of the glass to pop the panel loose. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that shields you from harmful RF radiation.

With the inner panel removed, the door handle screws are visibile and can easily be accessed with a screwdriver. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel, gradually working your way around the perimeter of the door glass to ensure it snaps back into place and seats properly.

This repair can be done with the door in place, or you can remove it for easier access. If you decide the remove the door, open it all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. The door will lift off of the hinge pins. On some microwaves, you may have to remove the upper grill cover over the door (if equipped) to accommodate door removal. Place on a hard flat surface with some towels under it for padding. This protects the door facing from scatches.

NOTE: Some doors have a hinge pin that needs to be removed, or screws holding the door in place at the hinge.

If you have not purchased a replacement handle yet, the part number is WB15X10024. It can be purchased at any of the foloowing websites:

All these sites offer great service and competitive prices, so shop and compare.

You can view an exploded view diagram of your microwave at any of the first three websites I listed for reference. Just type in your model number for your search criteria. If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a 3 year old Kenmore range. There are openings at the top of the oven door. While cleaning, some soapy water went into one of these openings and left water dribble marks. How do I get inside the...

You'll have to remove and disassemble the door to clean the back side of the glass.

Open the door slightly. It should hold itself slightly ajar. Then lift the door straight up and off the hinges. Lay the door on a floor, table or flat countertop with a towel or rug protecting the door. The screws holding the door together will be on the bottom, top, and sides. Sometimes there are screws on the inside, holding the door handle and outer glass. Take care to notice how it's assembled, as getting it back together is sometimes tricky. By the way, it's best to lift the door by the sides, not by the handle!

Good luck!
