When i plug it it worked but now it doesn't so i change of computer and it work again but when i unplug and decide to use it again it didn't work again

You likely need to power the hard drive from and external power supply or use the included "Y" cable to plug into 2 USB ports at the same time. Some USB ports on computers do not supply enough power to operate correctly. If the hard drive did not come with a power supply or the "Y" cable, contact SimpleTech and purchase this accessory.

Simpletech 96300-40001-001 bought in the US, can it be used abroad where current is 240V?

Yes. You can use it while abroad. This equipment do not use any external power source. It draws its power through the USB cord. which is standard 5 volts. However, other equipments, that is connected directly to AC must be working on 230V. For example, your are going on a trip. You take your lap top and this SimpleDrive Portable Hard Drive with you. You can connect the Portable Hard Drive to the laptop without worry. But you should check the power supply to the laptop whether it says 100V-240V. Then you are all set. Almost all laptop power supplies are equipped to work with both 110 and 220V range. Other wise you will have to get a travel adapter, which converts the 220V to 110V.

Maxtor personal storage 3200 - flashing green light.

Solution:
First, disconnect the power cable from the back of the external hard drive:
If the power supply LED continues to blink:
  1. Connect the power supply to a different outlet (or instead of connecting to a power strip, connect directly to an outlet in the wall).

  2. If the power supply continues to blink after changing outlets, this indicates that the power supply is defective and needs to be replaced.

  3. If the power supply stays solid, then reconnect to the external hard drive and see if the drive spins.

New Seagate FreeAgentPro USB eSATA 500GB power on light not glows

Thank you for your reply.

I have solved the problem with local help.

Printed installation manual of Seagate 500 GB eSATA external hard drive has not properly mentioned how to use power on/off switch once connected to mains. I could get local help, who has already used the device. On/Off switch to be pressed for few seconds after mains connected, sometimes it comes automatically once power is on and USB cable pluged to the USB port of PC if power supply is ok. There is no indicator for the power supply (before device glows) after connected to the mains. I was in confusion whether power supply is ok or not.

Finally, It was found that the problem was with mains power supply and I have changed the power socket and adapter.

Use the higher wattage power adapter. I believe that you indicated that the wrong power supply worked.

There is currently a problem with the Lower Watts Power Supply of 1.5 watts over time.

Is the drive running when connecto to power ans PC?
Try it on another PC.
Check the power supply if it is operated from an external power supply.
It it is self powered via the USB then this is a possible problem- the PC power supply cannot cope - Removing other USB devices may help here
