Yo! if you have successfully migrated from the old yahoo mail to the yahoo mail beta, with a good network, you will see you online contacts at the left side of your screen under applications. when you see them, a single click on any of them automatically starts the conversation with them.
Follow the following step-by-step process to sign up for Gmail:
Go to Google: In order to sign up for a Gmail account, you have to go to the Google website, which can be found at Google.com. Once there you will need to click on the "Gmail" option at the top of the webpage.
Create an Account:
Once you have clicked on the "Gmail" option, you will be taken to a
welcome page. It will look rather plain and have a header that says
"Welcome to Gmail." You will also see an option to sign in with a
username and password on the far right of the screen. Just under that
sign in option is a small, pale, blue box which houses the option to
sign-up for Gmail. There will be an option to "Create an Account" -
click on that option.
Once you click on "Create an Account" you will be taken to a different screen which has a form for you to complete. It will ask you for your first and last name as well as a username, a security question, birthday and a recovery email address. Read the Terms of Service and accept it and your account will be created.
Once you have opened your account, you will have access to several features.
You can add contacts from your other email addresses.
You can also make free voice calls from your Gmail account using the Google Talk client.
You can use the chat feature. Chat works, more or less as an instant messaging
type of feature. Google Chat also allows you to chat to friends on
Google while reviewing your email messages. The pop-out chat box, makes
chatting on Google both exciting and convenient.
As a Gmail
account holder, you automatically have a folder for spam mail, so any
unwanted mail can be filtered directly to the spam folder.
You can also label your messages and star your messages so that you can keep what you need organized.
If you are on the go, Gmail offers a mobile version that is compatible with most smart phones.
other free email services, Gmail has a ton of space making the sky the
limit for your storage needs. Google ensures that it always upgrades the
amount of storage space on Gmail. This makes archiving messages easier,
and while they do offer additional space for a nominal fee, what you
get with the free email option is amazing.
There is never a need to worry about being bombarded by ads because pop-ups never get through to your account.
you mean you no longer receive emails coming from that mail adress ? If so, try to add it to your contacts first. If the problem is to receive all emails coming to that email and sending emails with that account, go to your gmail parameters than "transfer pop and imap" activate both protocols than go to "accounts and importation" and follow instructions to add that adress to your gmail account "send mails as" Hope it helps
Firstly, do you have an email account. Sites like yahoo.com, hotmail.com and gmail (Google.com) are quite popular and free. After you have signed up for an email account you are now ready to send and receive email. To chat you can either Google search for any online chat rooms. Just simply Google search "Chat rooms" and follow instructions from there.
You may also, if you signed up for yahoo or hatmail or even gamil, connect to other users via instead messenger and talk to family and friends you have added to your account. You must download the IM messenger first. Yahoo Chat seems popular.
Install video chat plug-in from http://www.google.com/chat/video.
It works in Windows XP/Vista, Intel-based Mac, using IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari 3+.
After restarting the browser, open Gmail, select a contact from the chat section and see if there's an option named "Video & more". If you can't find this option, your friend didn't install the plug-in yet.
