Gigaware Microphone boom not working

My driver is Gigaware VGA PC Camera (Original Drivers for Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP (11.9 MB)). Here's the link.

Also, cristen - Radioshack listing for Cam 1.3MP (megapixel) does not include a driver according to the website. So I see your problem. The only thing that comes bundled with it is Arcosoft Impression 2.0. But AI2.0 doesn't bundle the driver. Wierd - cam, no driver. I know that's not your cam, but it's an example of the precendent you mentioned.

Click on Product Support, and last on the list are drivers.

Does it show a message like "unknown device" in winXp? then probably it needs an installer in order for a device to work properly, but if its working in the other computers running winxp then probably your own computer you are using have a problem with the usb ports on it. Hope this could help..

Select "Gigaware 1.3MP PC Camera" and just download the driver.

You must check first if you have successfully loaded the drivers. GO TO DEVICE MANAGER. You should be able to see your pc camera listed there. If it is listed and it has a YELLOW QUESTION MARK, that means that the drivers for the pc camera was not installed. Install the drivers manually.

What you need to do is when you go to the advanced settings on skype, slide the volume slider thing, then click save before you speak or do anything to make the slider move back. I just spent 2 hours fixing this bug, and it worked for me.
