SOURCE: Split System Air conditioner

If it is water leaking check the indoor drain pan if overflow with water. If the pan is overflow with water then you need to clean your drain pan and drain pipe. While the unit is operating check the drain pipe if water drip, if no water coming out from drain pipe you need to flush it with water to flush out the restriction.
Try also to check if no icing build in the evaporator fins. If icing is present then you need to clean your indoor evaporator pins and air filter. But if it is clean and still icing is present then your unit is out of gas.

SOURCE: how large a room does a 10,000 btu air conditioner cool

What size unit do I need for my room? Use the following chart to find the appropriate size air conditioner to use:

AREA TO BE COOLED / CAPACITY (BTU/HR)

100 to 150 square feet = 5,000

150 to 250 square feet = 6,000

250 to 300 square feet = 7,000

300 to 350 square feet = 8,000

350 to 400 square feet = 9,000

400 to 450 square feet = 10,000

450 to 550 square feet = 12,000

550 to 700 square feet = 14,000

700 to 1000 square feet = 18,000

If the room is heavily shaded, reduce needed capacity by 10%

If the room receives a lot of direct sun, increase needed capacity by 10%

Add 600 Btu/Hr for each person in the room if there are more than two people

If the unit is for a kitchen, increase the capacity by 4,000-6,000 Btu/Hr.

if this helps please vote me a fix ya

What does H1 code indicate?

Hello E, I appreciate your post!
I see that your Frigidaire air conditioner is displaying an error code of "H1". I have reviewed the air conditioner and the "H1" error code could be an "HI". The "HI" error code means that the room temperature is above the display range. I would recommend performing a reset on your air conditioner. In order to reset the air conditioner you need to unplug the power cord you can press the reset button and then the test button that should restart your air conditioner. If that does correct your issue I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful for you. -Matt

A brand new keystone thru-wall air conditioner is installed and plugged in. The power is on but it doesn't work. What could be the problem?

The unit has a start time delay (3 to 5 minutes) to protect the compressor against starting under high after a short time power failure. Most people tend to turn the unit off when it doesn't start when turned on.

Where does the water drain out of the unit on the frigidaire 10000-12000 btu and the 22000-285000 btu units?

The unit should be angled back to the outside. The water will run thru a tube from the indoor coil to the outdoor coil, then most fan blades have a slinger on them that picks up the water and throws it on the out door coil, which makes it more efficient but after time the water and dust will pile up on the coil and require cleaning at some point. If you clean the coil you can extend the life of the unit quite a bit. So you may not get any water to drip outside.

How many tons is my unit?

divide your btu rating by 12000. (1 ton = 12000 btu)
For example - a 24,000 BTU Air Conditioner is a 2 ton unit. 24000 divided by 12000 = 2
A 18000 btu air condtioner is a 1 1/2 ton unit 18000 divided by 12000 = 1 1/2
you can find out your btu rating by looking on the tag on your unit.

We have had our 12000 BTU sharp ac for about 10 years now. The unit seems to be working but is not cooling the room that well. How do I know if its the compressor or it just needs coolant? If it isn't...

Remove the unit and clean the evaporator coils and the condenser coils with a good coil cleaner chemical.
Oil the fan motor bearings.
Replace the capacitor.

AF-S80MX Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner: What kind of refrigerant does this unit uses? ...

Most new window units are using R-22 or it's most common alternative R-410A - but you will need to check the 'data tag' on the AC to be sure. All AC units have a data tag (either metal or paper label) - somewhere on the AC - which gives you model number, size, voltage, and type of Refrigerant, as well as other info.

good luck!

When i plug in my frigidaire fac125p1a the reset button trips immediately. won't turn on.

compressor has gone to ground. In other words the reason the reset button trips is to prevent any electrical shock due to the compressor going bad. Only way to fix this is to have the compressor replaced

Make sure that unit is slightly sloped toward the outside. Your unit is either level or more probably leaning to the front.
