Epson cx6600 printing only magenta even with new cartidges

You need a new printer head, point blank- this is for the average person not cost effective because of the price of print head if the particular one is even available, No way to pin point what cause it-maybe the company that made it can- so if you repair it may happen again since we don't know what caused it in the first place- People dont repair printers they replace them, my 200$ printer was now 50$ and hard to find and the print head was 80$ online only...guess what i did. You cant sell it because no one wants is--best bet is trash and buy a new one--Good Luck.

Is it a genuine HP cartridge.
refilled one will show ?
Some model will not print if it thinks there is no ink.
There are reset devices for refill ink cartridges. cost very little of ebay etc.

i just buy new cartridge ink for my epson stylus 4100 and when i print out didnt print its only a blank page what should i do

You can't print in black only mode because printer need all cartridges not empty to initialized and working.Don't try to refill this cartridges, it's have a chip and you need to reset it too.Just look in your are for non OEM ink cartridges.Thea are 2-3 times cheaper.

Open top cover press the toner buttom on the top then close the cover, you'll hear the cartridge changing do that until it cycles to the cartridge you desire

Try taking a new cartridge out and shaking it ( with your finger over the hole that the ink comes out) and then put it back in.  Also make sure that the tape that is over some cartridges' printing area has been removed.

if you left your printer for two weeks or more without using, the print heads may be stuffiness. In this case (aparently yours cases) you must take your printer to a authorized service, they will can clean (with a proper fluid) or replace the ink heads, if cleaning is not possible.

Hey Drummabil First thing to check is that if you are using compatible cartridges instead of the good stuff, ensure that any tape that needs to be removed from vents is taken off. I have seen many a printer with carts installed still wearing the tape over the vents. If you are using the good stuff, you may be experiencing a known issue with this (and similar) Epson models. Hi Teetle, No, it not normal to only get two pages per cartridge. I would try the following before contacting Epson tech support: -Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts on both the printer and cartridge. -Reinsert each cartridge making sure it is seated correctly. -Buy one black cartridge and install. It is possible that the cartridge is defective but since the magenta cartridge is showing low its unlikely. Tech support will want you to try it before they will replace the printer so you?re best off trying it now. If after trying this steps there is no change and if you?ve had it for less than 7 days I would talk to your retail store. Usually they will just trade your defective unit for one in stock. If you have had it longer contact Epson support and explain what it happening and what you?ve done. Make sure you mention you?ve bought a new Epson black cartridge with no change.
