Briggs 6.75hp Will Not Start and it's Brand New!

Your question was

"Hello,

I bought a brand new troy-built pressure washer with a 6.75 Briggs on it from Lowe's today and they sold it as is (They couldn't get it started as well). I checked the spark plug and I have good spark. I have new gas in it, a new filter, and when I try to crank it, the plug is wet with gas. The only thing that I can see wrong with it is it doesn't seem to have very high compression. I didn't put a compression gauge on it, but I can put my finger over the spark plug hole and pull the recoil rope and it just doesn't feel like other motors. I pulled the flywheel off and checked the shaft key and it looks new too. I did pull the valve access cover off to double check the valves and they look like they are opening and closing and seating like they should.

If I pour gas into the carb, nothing happens. If I pour gas in the spark plug hole, I can get it to pop but that's it, it will not fire off.

Is there leaking on hthe head? (wet?) Can you see or smell gas there? = gasket. Is there gas in the oil? Pull the dipstick and smell it...might even be really thin. = piston or rings. Pull the plug and see if you can get a view of the piston when it's Top Dead Center. If it's scarred or eaten (deep pits) then the piston is probably bad and needs to be opened up any way. Some people try to put "Special" plugs and if they are too hot it could burn a hole right thru the aluminum. Also Plug could have had too long a shaft and hit the piston,

Good Luck.

All outflow stops when I start the motor on my Troy-bilt 2600 pressure washer. What's up?

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old.
Sorry.

I have a Troy Bilt 2550 psi Power Washer with a Briggs and Stratton 675 Series, 190cc engine. Could you tell me what kind of oil I should use.

Best oil for small engine for most moderate climates is 30wt non-detergent. The pump can use mineral oil (air compressor oil ) sold at most auto stores and lumber outlets.

I have a troy built pressure washer model no. 010245-1. the screw (not pressure valve) is missing from the bottom. To replace, what size would I need to buy. And can I get the screw from Lowes

You can probably (like 90% sure) get the bolt at Lowe's, however I can't seem to find your model number. Your best bet would be to lug the thing in there with you, then sit down in the bolt aisle and try them out :)
