Question about Polaroid PDC 5070 Digital Camera

Open Question

Polaroid pdc 5080 does not access new memor chip after I installed it: why?

Because of the very low memory capability in original camera, I bought a memory chip w/the help of a young cousin--"you'll have enough memory to last your lifetime now!" I power up the camera and start to take a point and shoot picture, but the message on the screen says there's no memory left!how do I make sure the additional chip is accessed, and keep this from happening (when I haven't used the thing for over a year, replaced batteries, can't find manual, and realize the icons are completely meaningless in any intuitive sense. who makes these things for normal people to use!!??)

1)click the MENU button (M)
2) click left 3 times
3) then you have options for auto, daylight, cloudy, tungsten, and fluorescent.
sorry I could help you with your origional problem but at least now you can change some settings. :D

SOURCE: Polaroid PDC 5080

if you don't use it (press a button, take a pic., take a video, etc.) then it will turn off because say you put it in the case and forgot to turn it off, then it won't stay on and waste the battery.

I want to retrieve a fax sent to me last year

I'm afraid your printer does not have the capability of retrieving faxes sent last year.
The only time you can retrieve faxes is when you get "low ink level" notification while a fax is coming in, where the incoming fax is temporarily stored in the printer's memory. You'll be asked to replace the low ink cartridge (without navigating away from the fax function) then hit Ok to receive the incoming fax. Other than that, you won't be able to retrieve previous faxes.

I turned my camera on and it says card locked. It won't let me take pictures or delete any. I read on other sites there is a switch but don't see one.

Switth should be on the outside of the memory card, very small switch.Another senario is the card is not fast enough for the camera ,check what class card your camera needs and compare write speeds of both, should say something like"class 2,or class 5" Good Luck

What does ''CHA'' mean on my Nikon D50 I can't seem to take any photo's

You haven't provided enough details to be sure of the problem, but I suspect you have either bought a new memory card that is either the wrong type or too large for that camera. If it is still the original memory card that you first used with your camera, try reformating the card.

Can i revert a photo edited on adobe photoshop? i had a picture and i was editing it in adobe photoshop, but 1 of my young cousin used my computer and saved what i was doing, but she overwrited the...

Once the edited image has been saved, the original image gets over written and there is usually no way to go back to the un-edited version.

If you have the original source file, you can restore it to your hard drive. An example of this would be copying a picture from your digital camera to your hard drive again.

You can also retrieve the original file if you've used Windows Backup or some other backup program to save a copy of selected files.

The previous post was a lot of help. Anyway, enough of that. Here is the address link for the user's guide for this unit. Go to pg16 of the guide & tells you about the what the msg means then go to pg113 for procedures to clear the memory. I just now realized how old this original post is. for all know you may tossed the thing by now. but in case you didn't here's the document link.

peace-out

Wjen i put in the memory card it says there is something wrong with it however when it said it at first i bought a new one and it said the same thing with the new one

Try using the original memory card when you bought the camera. If this works, the last ones are defective and need to be returned or replaced. If you don't have the original memory card anymore, try to borrow one from your friend that has the same camera and try his/her card with your camera. If this works, your card is busted and buy another good one from a reputable store.

Memory Stick error c:13:01

The problem is compatibility - or lack thereof. The older Sony cameras such as DSC-S50 (I have one), which used the original version of the Sony Memory Stick, can't read the new Memory Stick Pro - even with the "Duo" adapter.

I don't know all the specifics but it has to do with how the memory chip interfaces w/ the camera, how the data is transferred -- newer models of chips/cameras use a different, faster method for data transfer which the older cameras/devices can't do. Similar to "serial" vs. "USB" vs. "USB-2" issues with older computers.

So, sorry to say, but if you have a DSC-S50 camera like I do or similar older model, you're stuck w/ the standard Memory Sticks - which I have just discovered are very hard to find any more. I just finished a sweep of all major electronic stores/outlets in my area (silicon valley - where there's plenty of them), plus many web sites. And all you can find new, now, are the Pro/Duo chips, 1GB & up.

Anyway I hope this helps!
