Question about HP Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

I have 2 problems. I just bought a new HP Photosmart6250 and during the registration it said I already have a password. I tried to type what I thought it was and it wasn't so I hit forgot password. After that, I lost my place to register and can't find it. The 2nd problem I have and didn't realize I could do this is the County MRDD bought my daughter a computer and printer (HP Photosmart C5180) and I hooked it up almost a year ago and it quit working after 2 months. I talked to the people at BEST BUY but they weren't much help since the MRDD (mental health, my daughter was in a severe auto accident.) I couldn't get it to power on. I think I registered that printer along with this computer. Can you check on that and let me know how to go back to register this printer.

Hi Meg,

as far as the printer registration, there are several things you can do. You can go directly to https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/registration/index.do?cc=US&lang=en to register your product. Once the product is registered, even if the software automatically reminds you to register later, you can just click cancel and "do not show again".

Second, most of the time, HP has "product registration" as a menu item after the software is installed on your computer.

Click on start, all programs, then choose the HP program, then the printer, then product registration.

As far as the second problem, if you registered the other printer, you can check the status of your that item from this link. https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/userHub/index.do

then, under the " I am a returning user " section, enter your user ID, or click on "forgot your user id?" link. enter the email address you would have used to register it, and they will email you your User ID. Same thing for the password.

Please take a moment to rate this solution, and thank you for using "Fixya" :)

If you are referring to a CPR (color plane registration) problem, where the magenta color plane is not aligned with the other color planes, you might first try forcing a color calibration. This can be done through the control panel menus by selecting System Setup-

Your allinone is not compatible with new OS as you have already figures out. Contact the Company..hp and see if they have an updated disc for MS7.....

If you can get your hands on a new disc for the HP AIO's they are all similar...and you can try reinstalling using it.

Go to Walmart...buy new HP AIO.....install disc..connect old AIO....take back new one with disc.....problen solved. walmart will accept all returns.

Located on the Konica Minolta Website one can find in their Service & Support area software drivers for various models. Try there during your install.

How do i register my new 6310 printer

If by registration you mean registering online, than it has manual which you can study and its written the website where you can register your device. Or after installing the software which came along the printer it asks for the registration, or if it is already installed than you can go to programs and look for HP folder or HP Officejet folder, there there must be last option which says register or register your product.

If my advice helped you please feel free to rate me thanks.

How to hook up this printer wireless to my main computer

Hi jjank740;

First off, did you try to recycle your printer? Turn it off and back on again. Sometimes power outages can disconnect that printer. If that doesn't work. Go to the printer and access the system network configuration on the led panel. Type in the WEP number and password again, and let it search for the connection. That should do it. Once it's connected you'll see the blue wireless indicator turn on.

Good Luck

Mark

Registration card with I.R.I.S. states contact irislink for HP 3-IN-1

Have been having the same problem, but after some searching found this webpage. Hopefully I am registered now. http://www.irislink.com/register/readparam.aspx?ver=HP%20OCR&lang=eng&prod=IRISOCR&pcode=RegHP-00000-HP&id=--- Certainly not the simple web address they advertise. Hope others get some joy with this.

Pinter hp 1315

Sometimes it's better to just buy a new printer. They are a lot cheaper these days. If you aren't sure what parts aren't working, it would be a waste of money to buy parts. And if you are sure what parts are not working, check eBay for them. As for the new cartridge, are you removing the protective tape that covers the bottom of the cartridge?
