Question about Sony Dvcam DSR-PDX10 DV Digital Camcorder

1 Answer

Repair lens PDX10

I dropped my PDX10, camera still works, but the lens won't focus its blurry. If I zoom in-,the focus works fine on high zoom,- but it won't focus if I slightly zoom or if there is no zoom. I tried manual focus but that doesn't work either, and no matter how many times I turn the focus (on manual) it doesn't look clear- it's off slightly. Can I remove the lens or adjust it, if so how?

Thanks Rob MacRiner rmacriner@sympatico.ca

It sounds like the optics in the lens are no longer calibrated. It needs to be looked at by a professional.

How can I fix the autofocus on my Quantaray 7-300 lens.

Sorry to say but the lens needs to be sent in for repair. To repair or replace the AF motor is usually around the $200.00 range. Do not try to fix it yourself.

Blurry pictures

You did not say which lens or lenses you are using, but most auto-focus lenses have a switch for selecting manual or auto-focus. First, check your camera's menu settings to make sure auto-focus is enabled and then your lens to make sure you did not accidently leave it in the manual focus position? If it is in the auto-focus position and still not taking sharp pictures, switch it to manual and see if you can get it to focus correctly. It is also possible that your auto-focus alignment is out because your camera was bumped, jolted or dropped. If realignment is necessary, you can send the camera and lens to Nikon for repair or find a knowledgeable camera repairman.

Dropped camera leads to zoom error and blurry pictures. HELP!

Your lens was damaged and probably needs service. This could be expensive so get an estimate first to help you decide what to do.

MY FOCUS IS BLURRY AND ZOOM DOESN'T WORK. CAMERA WAS DROPPED

The most likely cause for this is a zoom or focus lens out of place or impaired in some way and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

My cam was dropped accidentally due to which the lens got stuck pretty badly, i had it repaired by a registered dealer/repair shop for casio cameras. the lens were working the way they should be when...

The fix is to contact the repair shop and explain that they may have "unstuck" the lens but they messed up the focussing. Let them fix it on their dime, not yours.

Have a canon digital elph sd750. Pictures are now blurry.

You could have cracked the lens, damage the focus or a number of other things but the lens and focus are most likely. check your lens for scratches if there is none and no cracks take it to your nearest camera store or buy new good luck!

Blurry Pictures!!!:(

This is something that will probably have to be sent in to be fixed. First try resetting your camera. In REC mode press menu go to setup tab go up to reset press right arrow highlight reset & press set. If that doesn't work send it in to repairs.
