Unfortunately, the only parts sold by Logitech for this device are the dongles. The MX Revolution is equipped with a non-removal rechargeable Li-ion battery. Try placing it back in the charging cradle to recharge the mouse. Make sure the mouse is seated firmly inside of the cradle, this may take a couple tries to assure the charging contacts are aligned.

If this doesn't work, you should get it replaced. The fastest form of exchange is through the point of purchase (POP). Most resellers will offer an exchange or refund option for a limited time. If you can't exchange the device through your POP. To please contact Logitech Customer Support Hotline at 646-454-3200 Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST (Excluding Some Holidays) to obtain your RMA number.

To save you time, please be at your system and have the following pieces of information available when you call.

  • Model number or Part number of the Logitech product
  • Software version for your Logitech product
  • Type of computer (e.g. Pentium, 486)
  • Make of computer (brand name)
  • Version of your Operating System (OS)
  • Troubleshooting steps that you have tried
JUST DON'T TELL THEM THAT YOU DROPPED YOUR MOUSE!!! :)

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. – I would greatly appreciate a FixYa! rating if the solution I provided fixed or helped you resolve your problem.

Thank you for using FIXYA!

Cheers!

Go to bestbuy or wallmart and get the mouse repaired or buy a new one. Its better you get a new one because the cost of repairing will be expensive

No instruction manual

It's easy. Plug in the usb dongle, plug in the power for the dock, put the mouse on it and let it charge fully and then use it. If you want to use the advanced buttons on it, go to the logitech web site, download the driver for your operating system and install it. At that point you will have a control to set it up in the way you want it to work, but right out of the box it will work like any other mouse.

My Logitech MX Revolution drops in the middle of a click-drag and sometimes registers a double click when I make only a single click.

This could be because the batteries of the mouse could be going dead. Try recharging / replacing the batteries and see if this problem still occurs

I recently purchased the cordless mx 3200 laser desktop (ie keyboard and mouse). I have been able to get the mouse working, but not the keyboard. I keep trying the connect buttons but there seems to be...

Push the connect button on the base - the light on the base should flash. Push the connect button on the keyboard. The light should stop flashing. (This is the generic Logitech way - individual models may vary slightly.)

I have a logitech wireless mouse, i don't have the manuel or anything that came with it and i'm trying to connect it to my home desktop computer.. the piece that connects to the computer works the lights...

Click on the connect button on the remote (part connected to the PC) and click on the connect button on the mouse. Move the mouse around after you press that button. It should connect.

Also make sure your batteries are fresh.

Once working, I've found that Microsoft's Intelli mouse driver does a better job then Logitech drivers.

Batteries failing in my logitech mouse, how do I change them?(MX revolution), where do I get them? please help, fading fast!

Hello,

Your batteries are currently dead and you need to know how to replace them. Do I understand this correctly? Thanks.

There is an access panel on the bottom of your mouse. You will see a little depression for a thumbnail for a dime to lift it off.

Despite their reputation, Li-Ion batteries do need to be replaced from time to time, about a year or so. Two batteries may run you around $20 and don't skimp on brand.

Once you have the new batteries let them drain down to empty and only then charge them on your charging station.

Does this answer your question?

Worldvet

Trying to bind my MX400 Mouse's forward and backward buttons inside of games. I've been using the Setpoint tool, tried binding them to keys on the keyboard with no success.

Try setting the buttons to "generic" in SetPoint and then assign fuctions via the game options.

From Logitech Knowledge Base:
The information in this article applies to the following products:
All Logitech Mice
Logitech SetPoint
Cause:
Most games that support a mouse will give you options to program or assign specific functions to various buttons on the mouse. These games normally look for generic mouse buttons when attempting to bind the mouse buttons to a game function. If the button is set to another function in SetPoint (such as Universal Scroll, Back, Forward, etc), the game may not see the mouse button as available to bind. This mainly affects buttons 3, 4, and 5.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, set the button you wish to program to a generic value in SetPoint. The following values should be used if you are having problems binding buttons in games.
Mouse Button 3 (The Middle Button/Scroll Wheel):
In SetPoint, assign this button as Middle Button or Generic Button.
Note for MX Revolution users: You must disable Logitech Smart Shift Technology or the Middle Button option will not be available in SetPoint.
Mouse Buttons 4 and 5 (Normally the thumb buttons):
In SetPoint, assign the thumb button(s) as Generic Button. Note that these buttons will still work in most browsers for forward and back. It is not necessary to assign these buttons to Forward and Back in SetPoint for this functionality.

First uninstall the software and reboot. Does it work now? If it does, it is definitely the software. If it still doesn't work, then it's not the software. Then post your findings and we'll go from there.
