Mitsubishi ws-65807 error code 2-2

2,2 error is short protection in this model.

WHAT IT MEANS IS ONE OF THE TWO FUSES THAT PROTECT THE CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT IS BLOWN; This model uses 2 of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE chips---

I have photos of the fuses etc--fuses and chips are located on the middle circuit board which would have to be removed to repair. I also have step by step start to finish instructions for this repair in this model.

If the parts needed are purchased on EBAY (I can tell you the name of a seller there) total parts cost is under 25 dollars and repair takes about one hour.

Many shops will not do this repair in the home and most will get 250 plus for it not counting pickup and delivery.

How handy are you? I can post the instructions and photos here if you respond to this answer by "add a comment".

It needs to be repaired by having the convergence ICs replaced or resoldered (if intermittent).

Parts are STK 392-570. Be sure to use thermal paste on the ICs.

46 Inch Mitsubishi PRoj. TV. 7 years old. Starting to randomly lose Cable signal, than come back up after a few seconds. No predictable time of the day or duration. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Most likely the set is loosing the ability to tune channels. The tuner will need to be replaced. If you have a cable box set up or even a VCR you can use that for your tuning and use the television as a monitor and use the video inputs on the back of the set. They are the Yellow, White and Red connections. You may also be able to use Ant-B, as it has a separate tuner.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Mitsubishi WS-55311 answer you gave me.

Before you replace a board, please double check or use different cables, make sure the cables are in the proper out/inputs, rgb to rgb. Try 'comp' 2. Composite vs component uses two different paths to produce a picture. Also, after taking tv's back off ensure that all boards are seated properly, since this happened after movement. CAUTION: make sure the unit is poweless, unplug tv. Let me know. Good luck....

NO Sound

Sorry, you need to try and add some more detail to the problem. It could be anything from a bad connection however your TV is setup or the speakers died.

Things you could answer to help, does sound work on any source, or does it only not work on one in particular? What were the circumstances around it? What changed around the same time? Have you tried resetting the tv to factory settings?
