GE JKP45 Electric Double Oven Front Panel

The digital panel on my JKP45 Double Oven will not come on. I turned the circuit breaker off & on, but no help. The upper and lower oven lights come on but there is no response from the digital panel. Any suggestions on how to resolve the problem?

Mine comes on and then goes off. If yo slap the panel it comes back or if it cools.

Same as above. Panel to JTP45 will not come on. Breaker seems to be fine - although have not taken it totally out of the breaker box to see the back wires. The light in the 2 ovens do come on.

Same problem. Seems to have happened after I ran the self cleaning cycle. Top works fine, bottom wont turn on.

cdkd, there should be a TC0, on the back of the oven. Thermal cut out. You want to check to see if it is open. You will have to pull the oven out enough that you can remove the back panel cover and check it. The lower and upper oven should have one. It's a very cheap part to replace. If this TCO fails, no heat. Check this first before buying a new board. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: Wall Oven No Power

yes the oven thermal fuse blew when the fan went off its also called a tco switch if you pull out the oven and take the top off there will be a tech sheet there that will give the location of the tco some are on top some are on back this can also happen if the oven is too tight in the cabinet not enough room around it to let the heat dissipate its a round metal disc with two wires on it

hey - I figured it out! hold down the 9 and 0 at the same time for 3 seconds! or it might be another combination depending on your oven - it is probably the 2 keys that the messge is under

GE Oven door won't unlock after cleaning cycle (and cool down).

Hi,
Cycling the power off and then on again will sometimes reset it...often you will have to call the customer service number to get the steps to take to unlock that...

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.
