If your modem/router was provided by your internet service provider (ISP) you may check the configuration with them. Your modem/router wireless capabilities can be disabled by accessing the device. You should be able to get the IP address, default gateway and the username and the administrator password. Your computer should be hardwire to the modem to get the ip address or the default gateway.
