Usually there is a diagram under the hood that shows the firing order, dist cap cyl #'s etc... If you can't find one on the van, I recommend asking the parts store for a diagram of all the information you need. This information is usually just a print out away for just about any parts store and they're more than happy to give it to you if it helps them sell parts!. I don't trust everything I see on the internet! Good luck!

The only diagram I would SWEAR to is at alldatadyi.com . Its a pay site but you're sure to get the right info.

SOURCE: will a 94 Dodge Caravan transmission fit in a 96 Plymouth Voyager

80 percent of the time the transmission problem is electrical. Pull the transmission dip stick and check the condition of the transmission fluid. If it's not burn and the transmission runs with out slipping but does not shift properly. Good chances are that it may be the Transmission control module (TCM) which is on the passenger side fender close to the headlight. Check the condition of the wire harness to the TCM, look for corrosion and try disconnection the TCM and see if there is any changes to the way the transmission performs. As for the transmission fitting, as long as the engine size are the same. the 3 liter and 3.3 liter use different transmission. Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: how do i do a tune-up on a 98 plymouth voyager

Pretty straight forward depending on engine size, and whether you have distributor, or coil block. Blow out around spark plugs before removing if you have equipment. I'd seriously consider new plug wires if those are the originals, as well as distributor cap & rotor. Change one wire at a time and save yourself more trouble. Your plug gap etc should all be on hood or rad support, on the sticker. Do yourself a favor, and buy "Champion" Spark plugs as listed on sticker. I've seen too many Chrysler/Dodge products run terrible, not start, you name it, with other brand of plugs. Hardest part will be getting to them, so make sure you have extensions for your ratchet, short one, long one, universal etc, and it should make it much easier. My 3.8L has one at back of engine that is a nightmare to change. Depending on what engine, I found it easier to put vehicle on ramps & change rear ones from under the van. Any other questions or info needed, like perhaps your sticker is gone or not readable, get back to us & we'll get you that info. Good Luck, let us know how it goes.

SOURCE: my 1999 plymouth voyager van's radiator fan constantly on

The fan on this van is electric and heat activated. It will run when the thermostat shows the tempurature is too high regardless of whether or not the engine is on.

If it is working correctly it should turn off in no more than 10 minutes assuming the engine weren't actually overheating.

If it is staying on longer than that, the fan's thermostat may need to be replaced.

If the fan comes on when the engine is cold, then you can be pretty sure the thermostat is the culprit.

I hope this helps.

1997 Grand Voyager 3.0 replaced wires, plugs, cap and rotor. Now van acting crazy feels like its power surging and its intermittenately stalling as well.........wires maybe mixed up???

Yes it sounds like you mixed up the plug wires. The firing order is 1 2 3 4 5 6. Pretty simple to remember. The cylinders are 1 3 5 on the firewall side with number one being the front cylinder (Where the belts are). The radiator side cylinders are 2 4 6 with 2 being the front cylinder.

Firing order

Could be time for a tune-up, spark plugs, ignition cables, fuel and air filters, possible cap and rotor, or coil packs.

1999 plymouth voyager has a sip to it what to do for it need help

First thing to try is change the spark plugs and spark plug wires, that will usually fix this problem, these vans are tough and don,t have any major problems so keep the repairs simple.I assume you ment the van has a "skip" to it,correct.

98 Ply Grand Voyager, 1.4K miles with recurring P0305 code.

You say you changed the cap and rotor so I'm assuming the van has a 3.0L? Possible injector problem on cylinder #5, swap injector with cylinder 1 or 3 and see if miss/dtc moves to that cylinder. You also could have a vaccum leak, although they usually won't come and go. Does the vehicle have a consistent miss or do you just have a check engine light?
