There should be an engine number and frame number on your bike which will identify your bike. the engine no is usualy stamped on the bottom engine casing (usualy left hand side). the frame no. should be on the frame just behind the forks. the numbers should both be present and should be the same, not sure how to use this number but take this to your local bike mechanic and he should be able to help you. i had to do this when my mate bought a ty175, wich turned out to be a 1980 dt175!!

443433 Serial number, value, year made?

Impossible to ID most bikes by serial number alone, let alone assign a value without knowing condition, amount of original parts, etc. Do a little work yourself - Google "(brand/model) serial number" (without quotes) or at least tell us what kind of bike it is. See my tip:
How to determine the year value etc of your bicycle

Jackson Catalog Archive Jackson Support

At the bottom of this page is the contact number for Jackson Support, which is the same as Fender Support. They should be able to ID the year and model from the serial number.

Okay so I have a 2003 Yamaha TTR-125 dirtbike, it is NOT electric start, it is kick-start. All of the plastics were replaced so I do not have the original stickers on it with the model, therefore I forgot...

There is a frame number stamped on the frame neck. If you call a dealer they can look up the year and model using an ID microfiche. Next to the stamped frame number there should be a riveted plate with the VIN number on it . If this plate is still on your frame it also has the model number and the model year of the motorcycle clearly printed on it. All Yamaha dealers have the ability to ID your machine using the Vehicle Identification Number.

How do i decode yamaha yz 125 engin id number

You don't decode it. It is only a production run series number. Mororcycles are like cars in that respect. It is the frame number, AKA the "VIN number", is what carries all the information. Call a dealer with the frame number and he can tell you year, paint color, specific model and more. They may have a problem if the bike is too old. Yamaha changed to a newer code system a few years back.
