Question about Mitac Mio 168 Pocket PC
I took the memory card out of my mio168 while it was on, the screen kinda flashed and went white.
I switched it off and on rebooted it and heres what happens:
when switched on you get a glimpse of the mio digiwalker page the colours are not correct, the screen then goes white. when the audible sound comes up you get a glimpse of the window mobile page then it goes into lines, on a bright screen.
the unit was pluged into the charger at the time.
Do you think this to do with me removing the card?
do you think its a screen problem?
is it possible to flash the rom on this unit?
is it knakerd?
Appreciate any help on this

Hi, to replace battery, you need to undo the 4 screws hold the back casing. When these are removed you can open the back, revealing the battery. There is a black plug that pushes into a white socket on the pcb, with 4 wires coming out of it that goes to the battery. Pull this plug out and the battery then comes free. Hope this helps.

Have you tried contacting microsoft about this at all?
I am really not all that familiar with this device so I recommend using the "Ask Me" function for a different expert as you did for me.
I can give you a couple of suggestions. I believe there is a reset pin on the device, find it and press it. Second, try removing the battery and leave it out overnight to reset it. If either works, let me know, otherwise I don't know that much about this problem and either Microsoft or another expert would be able to help you better.
I'm sorry I can't be more help.
Have a good day.

your SD might be and SDHC or larger that 4GB. try to use a FAT32 formatted SD, no bigger than 4GB
