Question about iRiver H10 MP3 Player

IRiver H10 Turns On but then Turns Off After 20-50 Minutes

My iRiver H10 is fully functional except for the fact that when I'm using it, the screen will flicker and then it turns off. Then I can't turn it on again until 5-10 min afterwards, but when I do turn it on, it says the battery is almost dead, however, when I turned it on the first time, I already had it fully charged. The only conclusion I can come to is that the battery is busted or something. Also, I have dropped my H10 a few times on accident so that could be the cause of the problem. Please help me.

Yes by the sounds of it , it is your battery try buying a new battery and see how it works form there if it is still playing up you will have to go to your nearest electronic shop and get them to have a look at it

Need to reboot iriver h10 cant delete songs

Ok , sorry it took me until now to answer , this is a very simple procedure and I promise it will fix your Iriver! All you have to do is go to main menu , scroll down to settings . Then go to additional settings and at the very bottom select " Database Refresh " . This will fully reboot your irvier H10 , and will flush anything harming your mp3 device .
Hope this helped :)

IRIVER WONT WORK AAAAHHH HELP!!!!!? my iriver wont work when i try to turn it on it comes up and says system files missing to restore the system files, connect to iriver plus wat dose that mean i have...

Hello,

When system files are missing on the player, you will need to reinstall the FIRMWARE.

When looking online for the connection type for the H10 / H10JR, I can see 2 CONNECTION TYPES for the H10 / H10JR:
1. MTP, when using Windows Media Player 11 ( WMP11 ), for the H10.
2. iRiver Plus, when using iRiver PLUS, for the H10JR.

The connection type determines what software on the computer will be used for transferring media.
Each software on the computer needs corresponding firmware on the player to be installed.
When the player itself comes up with the information to connect to iRiver PLUS, this is the correct software for this device probably. Then the device is a H10JR.

When not having the program iRiver PLUS, go to the iRiver support site, for the download:
http://www.iriver.com/flash/index.asp?code=0302
In the left column click Plus3 and go for the download.
Run iriver plus 3 and then select [Tools > Portable Device > Firmware Upgrade] from the menu.

Need more help ? Just post a comment.
In case you have the other model player, the H10, let me know if you need assistance for its recovery.

IRiver H10 Wont Turn on

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

IRiver MP3 Player Not Inisializing

If you haven't already I would try an emergency connect. -First perform a standard reset as you did before (press rear button for 20GB or disconnect & reconnect the battery for the 5/6GB versions). -Leave the unit turned off, but connect it to your computer's USB port. -Hold down the "o" button and then press the power button for a second to power on the device. -Do not release the "o" button until you see a message such as "emergency connect" or "mass storage" on the player screen. I beleive the message has changed with firmware versions, but it should be something similar. -If this works it should be detected by your computer as an external drive. You should have access to the files. -I would remove all music files from the device and then use the iriver plus software to restore system files. -If you manage to get to this point I would install the newest firmware available for your model of H10, found at the iriver site. The newest firmware adds a lot of functionality, speeds up player response significantly, and fixes many bugs as well.
