Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Plug in Microphone not working in Dell Inspiron Laptop

Sounds like the sound card on your laptop may be bad. Your laptop may have an integrated sound card on the motherboad or a seperate sound card. As part of the motherboard you have to get a new motherboard. First check your drivers and go through the trouble shooting section.

No sound. I did trouble shoot the problem. Probably the sound card needs to be replaced. I have a new notebook- Acer Aspire 5920

Are you sure? The sound card in a laptop is part of the motherboard.
If you have to replace the sound card, you will have to replace the entire motherboard.

Have you tried reloading the drivers for the existing sound card?
