You can try holding down the back button and holding down the up arrow at the same time. Wait a couple of seconds and release them both. Repeat the same process and it will probably start up.

Thank you for posting the problem with your Zune I-pod. Have you attempted to remove the batteries and leave them out for a full minute then place them back into your ipod? If not, try that and see if it resets your ipod other wise look for a small reset button or contact the manufacturer to see if they have one hidden if those other two solutions do not work properly.
