You can do it thru several programs. But the easy way is creating a back up of your documents files and folders doing this:

(*) Start >> Programs >> Accesories >> System tools >> BackUp

Then the file created copy onto a CD or USb device

Then insert the CD or USB device in your new computer and use the same way (*) to restore the backuped files

I see my hard disk in BIOS but not in windows and computer management

Is it a new or old?
Is it primary or slave?
If new can look in disk management and try to format.
If old, would suggest going to Manufactor website and down load utilities to a cd and check disk.

WHILE DELECTING FILES, MY WINDOWS XP WENT DID, AND

Hi. Try booting in safe mode; Press F* key as soon as you turn PC on and keep pressing until you get a screen giving you some options. Choose Safe Mode or Last Known Good Configuration.
If it allows safe mode, wait until windows loads (it will look strange to you), then go start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and select restore my computer to an earlier time. Then follow the prompts.
Because you were deleting things, I have a feeling you may have inadvertently deleted a system file or two. If you have a windows disk you could use that to repair your system, but that's the next stage.

My kensington optical2.0 wireless mouse will not work on my toshiba sattelite 300 series vista home premium after downloading driver

please follow the follwing steps:

1. remove the device from the computer.

2.remove unkown devices from the compter. follow steps.
a) select the compter icon on the desktop and right click and select manage.
b) select device manager.
c) look for heading usb devices or unkown devices. if there are unkown devices in your compter that selection tree would be open. just select select the unkown devices and click delete. confirm the same.

3) post deleting all unkown devices, reboot your laptop.
now keep the driver disk handy which came along with the mouse or the driver you have downloaded., preferablly install the driver if its an executable file before connecting the device, other wise save the file to your desktop and ensure the driver is not in a zip or a rar archive, please extract the same.

4) connect the device, the compter would search the driver, failing to find the driver compter would ask for the options. select that you have the disk under advanced option. select the driver you have download and it would show you the device and please continue the installation with the same driver.

You are done... your device would work then.
