Question about Bissell 8910 ProHeat Clear View Upright Vacuum
I have a bissell 8920 proheat 2x ( the drop down list would only let me put 8910) steam cleaner. We have had it fo about 9 mos. and suddenly the roller sprayers are not working. There is plenty of fluids comming from the hand tool but nothing from the lower side. I have cleaned the spray heads but still nothing. can you help???
I have an 8920 ProHeat 2x as well with the same issue - no spray at the rollers. Seeing that the hand tool worked I checked the finger switch for continuity and it was good. Turns out the red spray heads that clip into the unit just under the water tanks were the culprit. I popped those off and ran a paper-clip through them from the front. I must have contaminated the fresh water tank while emptying the grey tank. Works better than ever now, just thought I'd share what my issue turned out to be.

I had the same problem. Mine would work at upholstery cleaner end but wouldn't spray at the rollers. I took lower cover off (under handle) and my switch that controls the high traffic areas was stuck. There are 2 plungers at the bottom of that switch and only the one was working. I moved switch a few times and the one plunger was stuck. I free'd it up by pressing on it a few times under the switch with my fingers and batta bing the POS worked. My unit is only 4 months old and was used twice before acting up..... Bissell can maybe design these with a little more thought behind it :~(

The little red spray jets under the the recovery tank become clogged from hard water deposits. Get a paper clip or longer penny nail and run it through, wash them thoroughly and blow through them to make sure they are unclogged. Worse case scenario like mine was pump failure after only three uses. It also takes out the pump solenoid. No spray from jets or hand unit. Not catastrophic, pump and solenoid were $40.00 all told with shipping from totalvac.com. If you're handy, you can fix it, or take parts(they are genuine Bissell parts) and have a vac guy do it for around 30-35 bucks labor. He shouldn't have a problem with the parts, as they are genuine Bissell parts he would get and mark up 30-50% on you. I fixed mine in one hour fifteen minutes.
Pump part no.: 203-6717- $19.95 Solenoid part no.: 203-6761- $11.95
Model 8920 Pro heat is not the best Bissell out there. Problematic. I've owned better Bissells.

Clean your heater out that is in the handle hard water builds up in it and then causes it to become clogged
