Question about Mitutoyo 0-18"mitutoyo Electrnc Digi-matic Height Gage
I can't get my Fluke meter 8060AA to display anything. I worked when I last used it 8 yrs ago. I replaced the 9v battery with a new good battery and cleaned the contacts. At times I could see a very dim display. Now nothing displays when it's turned on. Any ideas??
Test unit reads okay then goes into - OL mode unable to take any readings

The fuse has nothing to do with the display.
The contacts of the LCD are probably oxidized because of its age. With the unit out of its care, carefully remove the LCD from its retaining mount. Use rubbing alcohol and a clean q-tip to clean the contacts of the LCD and the small "rubber-like" strips that contact both sides of the LCD. Also, remove the strips and clean the other side and the contact on the main circuit board. Then reassemble.
*Note, if you live in a cold climate, freezing of the LCD could also cause this problem. In that case you must purchase a replacement LCD from Fluke.
