N64 Green flashing/spazzing screen

HI, I have two n64s and one of them doesnt work and it has a spazzing green screen.Even If the game's in or out it doesnt matter it still has the same screen . It's not the games or the cords because I tested them on the working one.I didnt spill anything on it.It just started to do that one day.So I opened it and cleaned the connector but no luck.

Its the power supply thats causing the problem so you could try and replace the power supply wires or try wiggling it back and fourth to see if it makes a difference if not try unplugging it and doing the same thing two more times.

Maybe it's just getting old? I don't think anything can last forever, and they have been out for quite some time now, you could attempt to find somewhere to get it fixed, but I bet you could buy a new one for less money. :)

Hi we just bought a nintendo 64 and plugged everything the red light comes on but when we insert the game it flickers then the screen turns dark green and nothing. We have plugged and replugged, cleaned...

I say your N64 is obsolete at this point. May I suggest playing N64 games on your PC. A rom is a game that is 'ripped' from a game cartridge or cd of a game console (usually a console generation earlier than the second latest.) An emulator is what you run the rom in. The emulator is what allows you to use your mouse, keyboard, etc. to play the game.
http://coolrom.com/ is a great source for roms. You can get roms for the N64, GBA, GBA, GB, GameCube, Nintendo DS and even some sega games! You search for your game, find it in the list of search results and download the game.
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/ This is a list of N64 emulators that are readily available for you to download.
http://www.emulator-zone.com/ This is the root site of the link above. Please feel free to check it out. There are several other lists of emulators for other game consoles, handheld and home gaming.

Nintendo DS Lite, Dim Green Light, Brigher Green Light then off

Hi,

If the green light reacts as you state then the chances are the fuses are fine.

Again, with the reaction of the green light being as you stated i'm going to assume you have a problem with one of your screens, tell me... when the green light comes on does one of the screens flash? If it does then we have found the answer...

The screen that doesnt flash is the one with the problem, you can try taking the DS lite apart and re-connecting the screens ribon to see if that sorts it, if it doesnt then im afraid you will have to buy a new screen. These can befound on ebay for a reasonable price.

I have written some guides on how to change your screens and how to disassemble the DS lite, these will guide youthrough the processes you need to take. These can be found by clicking on my name and then scrolling down to "tips and tricks", press the "view all" to see all of them and find what you need.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Powered off N64 console in the middle of cheat code instructions. Now all I have is a green screen. How can I exit this mode?

Well the green screen means that the power supply piece inside of the console
is wearing out then.

Why does my n64 have green screen

Well a green or a grey screen means that there is something wrong with the power supply piece inside of the console that the ac adapter plugs into for the console to work. So I'm going to have to agree with Jill on this then. You could get the power supply piece replaced or fixed by someone that can fix theese old consoles.

N64 Games Show Green-Grey Screen

Having a green/grey screen shows there is signs of life. I believe the power supply that's the problem. In my recent experience the following solution has helped me:

1.) Wiggle the power supply left & right two times. Now try and see if the Nintendo 64 works.

2.) If not, then disconnect and reconnect the power supply and wiggle the power supply left & right twice. Again, try and see if it works.

I hope it works for you!
