Why do I keep getting transmission errors?

Using wireless limits your data speed.

As you see when using colour high resolution images, it has problems with sheer amount of data the scanner is trying to push through it.

Try connecting to it direct with a USB lead to do the scanning.

Your computer will not work properly if a Windows Dynamic-Link Library (.dll) file is damaged or missing. When this happens, you will receive an error message similar to this: "[program name] Illegal system DLL relocation."
The .dll file type contains instructions, or code, to run scripts that open dialog boxes.
These important graphical elements are necessary for computer user interaction in most software programs.
There is a simple way to keep all of your .dll files healthy, so you rarely lose valuable time restoring lost or broken links.
Connect your computer to the Internet.
Click "Start" and then click "Run" if you have the Windows XP operating system. For other systems, simply open Internet Explorer and click "Safety," then click "Windows Update."
Type "wupdmgr" in the "Run" dialog box to run Microsoft Update.
Click "Express" to find out if your computer requires new updates.
Press "Install Updates" if any are available.
Otherwise, close the Microsoft Update window.
Update your anti-virus program and then immediately scan all of the files on your computer.
Open the software program that gave the .dll notice to see if error messages still occur.
If so, continue to the next step.
Reinstall the affected software program to replace the damaged or missing .DLL file.
If the issue is still not resolved, contact Microsoft Support.

If a DLL file is defective, the software using the file will not open or run properly.

I have dell optiplex 330 when i start it it need to strike f1 for boot f2 for setup and f5 for scanning

Hi,
There could be two reasons you are getting this error message .
1. The operating system has crashed and needs to be reinstalled
2. The HDD has gone bad.

Run the diagostics on the computer.

Restart your computer at the Dell logo , tap on the f12 key slowly 1-3 times.
Using your down arrow key on the keyboard highlight IDE drive diagnostics or HDD diagnostics.
Press enter .
Incase there is an error , the hard drive needs to be replaced , else the operating the system needs to be repaired or reinstalled .

Thanks for using fixya

Received a message from security warning that my faceboook account has a virus or malware called koobface. How can I clean this up so I can open my facebook account?

I suggest you to scan computer with hand scanning tool in safe mode of Windows. When computer start, after few second you press F8 key more times in interval of 1 second. You must see option for going to 'Safe mode with networking'. When Windows start, you will have 'bad' icon looking, but don't worry. If you network is on (it will be, if it was in standard Windows mode).
With browser, you can go to ESET (Nod32) antivirus page: http://go.eset.com/us/online-scanner
Download 'ESET Online Scanner', and scan your computer with this. Make sure that you are put option for scan and delete (I think that 'only scan' is default).

Some viruses are so hard to clean, and one of option is use live linux CD (Mint linux, burn on CD from iso image). Share partition with Samba sharing (control panel), and connect computer with network connection to another one (with antivirus). Than scanning files with clean computer.
But this is hard way, and you must know what are you doing (create sharing and network connection). This is only option when virus has hard control with Windows OS. When you boot linux from CD, windows files are not in use, and it can be clean.

I suggest Firefox web browser for more safety way of surfing. AVG antivirus is free option for protection for home users.

Good luck...

There can be several issues. I suspect virus attached to rootkit.
First, check if your computer has all the necessary updates.
Second, scan it with antivirus program for viruses and malware(can be that they are clogging your computer and connection.
I recommend NOD32 and MalwareBytes.

Hope this helps...

When using computer for about 10 min, monitor goes blank with an error message of"No Input Signal" then computer rebuts several times. Any idea's?

Its possible that your computer maybe having a driver conflicting with your monitor. My suggestion would be reinstall the software that came with your monitor. If you don't have that go to the companies website that produced the monitor and download the newest monitor drivers.
As well for an extra double check, make sure that all wires connected to the monitor and the computer are in place.
(might check your monitors energy saving setting)

Hello,

system infected by virus so you need to scan it using potent antivirus,
Yo can download free AVG antivirus at free avg website(you can search it in google) download and install. however the infection is severe then you need to remove your hard drive and then attach it to other computer and then scan that drive until all virus is deleted. if this not resolve the issue then you have to back up your files and then format and reinstall the operating system.

I had a similar problem recently... You have to actually install the scanner software. You probably only installed the print drivers, but not the scanner software. If you don't have the CD handy, go to www.hp.com/#Support. In step one select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)". In step 2 enter your model number (photosmart C4385) and then press "go". It will lead you to a page to select your operating system. Follow that link to download the entire CD (large file).

When you are installing the software, make sure to install the scanner software too.
