Reset Power flashing on HP Officejet 6310 all-in-one

For no reason this happened to my printer. I spent a couple of hours on the chat line with the HP technician on their only solution was the fact that I had used a refilled cartridge. That is so much B.S. and we all know it. I had only used one cartridge of ink in this printer since purchase. They do not care that we have been sold a faulty piece of equipment. I have owned several HP Printers but doubt that I will buy anymore HP equipment. I am so disappointed in the service and the fact that I am out of warrenty earlier this year. I feel that I was sold a faulty machine and HP does not care about loss, nor do they want to keep me as a customer. I was even considering buying a new computer from them as my HP equipment had been so satisfactory in the past.

    yES SAME PROBLEM WHEN MACHINE JUST OUT OF WARRANTY. SEND EMAIL THEY TELL YOU YOU NEED TO PHONE, YOU PHONE AND THEY TELL YOU TO EMAIL.

    Same problem and of course I am about a month out of warranty. Boy, am I annoyed. Not sure what to buy. Very disappointed with this HP product.

    When you turn on and the printer it says 'Warming up' then it starts flashing and it says 'Reset power'

    Same problem and eerily the same time frame (shortly after warranty expiration). Almost like they set a time bomb. After a prolonged time of leaving it unplugged, it takes about 5-6 minutes before the error appears, so you have that much time to complete your printing - - plan well!

Unfortunately this can and usually is a fatal error. The only solution is to unplug the printer while it is on and wait 30 seconds and power back on.

It has nothing to do with refilled cartridges (and for the record that is not a good idea - a LOT of printers are ruined and it almost always voids a printers warranty from every manufacturer.) The error is caused from a power or firmware issue within the printer and if the powercycle doesn't work it needs to be replaced.

2. Power on with the power button.
3. If the problem happens again throw the printer away.

I am having the exact same issue. And, it has happened the last two times that I was replacing the ink cartridges (I noticed). AND, they are NEW from WalMart, not refillable ones.

This has happened twice to me and somehow or another all of the unplugging and replugging and powering down I must have done something in the right order b/c it worked again until I changed the cartridage yesterday and now here is the same Power Reset issue with the little camera on the left side flashing.

SO, if this is an ongoing issue with this printer why is HP not offering a replacement printer or to fix this issue since it is happening to SO many of their customers.

I WILL NOT buy another HP!!!! I am looking a Lexmark where the ink cartridge is only $5 if I can find one that prints well.

If anyone has ANY resolution OR if HP steps up to the plate on this one, I would love to know about it!!!

Having spent hours on line with these people and waiting for them to actually get on line I do not recommend you call them however, They offer Live Chat Help with all products. I recommend you contact them with Live Chat and get assistance directly from Symantic on this product. They can get you hooked up with patches that you normally wouldn't find for some reason.

HP psc1315v all-in -one printer cartridge error


Try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer. Go to Printers and Faxes, right-click on your printer icon, then left-click Delete, then left-click Yes. Then on the same page click File > Server Properties > Drivers > Delete. If it won't delete, re-start your computer and try again. When you have done all this, reinstall your printer, using the manufacturer's CD.

I get a paper mismatch when trying to print envelopes in Stamps.com, what can I do to fix it??


SPENT THREE HOURS DOING THE INSANE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THEN I DECIDED TO TELL THE STAMPS.COM CONFIGURE THAT IT PRINTED A TRIANGE WHEN IF FACT THE PRINTER ERROR MESSAGE"Paper mismatch.” SHOWED UP ON THE HP MESAGE MONITOR.
I THEN CONTINUED THRU THE PROMPTS ON STAMPS.COM SOFTWARE AND CONFIRED THAT "ALL FOUR" ITEMS PRINTED ON THE ENVELOPE WHILE IN FACT IT DID NOT. THIS GET YOU THRU THE "CONFIGURE PRINTER" SETUP. THEN I SELECTED "PRINT PREVIEW" AND PRINT TEST ENVELOPE AND IT WORKED!! HOPE THIS HELPS. I HAVE NOW PRINTED 30 ENVELOPES,ALL OK.
