Thin red line down the middle of my 22in Hanns-G LCD monitor

How can I fix this? It went away by tilting the monitor and then came back.

I have a thin red line down my laptop screen! It disappears if i tilt it at a certain angle but then comes back if the lid moves again. I've seen things about stuck pixels but not too sure if it applies to me and if stuck pixel software will help this or will cause more damage.

Thanks. I went ahead and bought a new one. Not worth the hassle to send it back for replacement.

Hi..there,
It's seems you got a busted panel. Repaied gonna cost you a bundles... Just get a new one instead. But you can bouble checked by open the back cover and look for any lose cable from the AD board... Try unplugged the cable with a wide connector and look for any bended pins... Have a nice day!

I have a thin yellow line running from top to bottom about 10 inches from the left side, what's wrong?

This can be due to faulty LCD driver IC which creates a noise bar and is shown. Check the cords to the display and also the ground connection to the display. If this is good then the IC can be faulty.

I have a thin red vertical line on my monitor. It's there even when the HD cable is unhooked, and there is no input. It appeared during a youtube video I was watching and now wont go away.

The LCD just happen to die, the TFT (Thin Film Transistor) driver circuits which is part of the LCD panel went bad and stuck on, not much you can do but replacing the panel, not worth it.

Thin red line in middle of screen on nec 42 inch plasma monitor

I had the same problem -red, vertical bars along the right side of my Samsung 42" Plasma- and this is what fixed it: Removed unterminated cable.
I had hooked up an HD video camera to the set about two weeks ago. While I disconnected the camera I left the other end of the connector cable plugged into the T.V.. As I've since learned from friends who work in television, this is what's called an "unterminated cable" -meaning one end is unconnected. It can lead to problems with electrical interference and appears to have been the problem in this case; When I disconnected this cable from the T.V. the red bars went away.
So, check your cables. Make sure everything is properly connected and get rid of anything that might be picking up interference.

Red line

The display cable in your LCD monitor must be replaced.

If you are feeling adventourous then you can look on ebay for a display cable to install but I do not suggest anyone open up a monitor (LCD or CRT) who is not "technically inclined."

If you can get the part then I would take it to a local Tech to replace it.

Thin red vertical line length of screen(right side)

Your Display cable (inside your monitor) needs to be replaced.

I would look on ebay to try and find the part and then take it to a local tech to replace it for you as I would not recommend anyone take apart a monitor (LCD OR CRT) if you had never done so before.

OR, Buy a new monitor.

Red Line

I was just looking at Samsung's site regarding this issue. It is most likely a line of dead pixels. Direct from their site: "The thin red, green, blue, white, black, or yellow line you see running through your LCD monitor is most likely a line of dead pixels. To fix this problem, you will have to get your monitor serviced or, if the monitor is new, replaced. To set up a service appointment, contact Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). Have your monitor's model number and serial number on hand when you call." http://erms.samsungusa.com/customer/sea/jsp/faqs/faqs_view.jsp?PG_ID=1&AT_ID=15336&PROD_SUB_ID=28&PROD_ID=-1

Two light lines have just appeared

Your driver transistors are failing on those "Rows" of Pixels.. a common problem .. you could try "Pixel Reviver" software from here http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor see if that helps.. but it possibly is on the way out sorry..
