I would like to get this Motherboard up and running if at all possible, but I'm stuck on what to try, or just forget about it and junk it out. Can it be repaired and be up and running again?

I have been asked to clarify my problem, so I'll do that as brief as I can.

The Motherboard CPU Fan starts when the Power Switch pins are shorted together with a screwdriver.

Green lights appear on the Motherboard, but there is NO Screen on the Monitor, No Bios Screen, No Nothing !!!

It stays this way until the Power is removed from the Motherboard.

I hope that this clarifies my problem with this Motherboard for Colliewob. Any suggestions ???

Hello i have a Intel D845EPI Motherboard and can`t get into the bios settings its asking for a password that i don`t have .Is it possible to find the manufacturer password somehow.Cheers

Most likely is the manufacturer password. You can either try contacting the manufacturer through their website for the password or try the information from this link to reset the BIOS password.

Cmos

Hi stan_z4, do you have the manual for you're board?
I'm showing the P4VMM2 is made by ESC = EliteGroup.
Which is not listed above (Intel D845EPI).
If you do have the board EliteGroup P4VMM2 than turn to page 11 in the user manual. The jumper for the cmos/bios JBAT1, Pins must be set to 1 & 2. If JBAT1 is set to pins 2 & 3 you will reset you're bios every time you boot up.

Don't have you're manual? Click on the link.

RAM

As long as the memory voltage is correct it will run the memory at 333MHz. Check for a bios upgrade for the D845EPI.
Your board's update link.

Intel D845EPI/D845GVSR MB problem

if you can get past the POST properly and see the drive size, nothing is wrong with the drive hardware. I think XP is seeing a previous boot sector install so try first to fdisk, format and system boot the drive. This should remove any boot sector "shadows".
