Remove the battery and wait 30 seconds.... then put the battery back and try it. If it still doesn't work....it has to be looked into by a technician. Could be loose connection to the touch screen.
if your phone's touch screen has not developed any cracks, it could have damaged the touch interface internally, i would suggest getting your phone checked at nearest Samsung authorized service centre
try to do these steps, and bring your phone back to it's factory settings. make sure to remove your sim and memory card. please take a note that if your phone is under warranty, you may choose not to follow this, hence bring your phone to your nearless service center. to make a hard reset... 1. switch off your phone 2. remove your battery 3. remove sim and memory card 4. reinsert battery and switch your phone on 5. while your touchscreen is working, type the code *2767*3855# to set it back to its factory settings. 6. after a successful hard reset, remove battery and reinsert sim and memory card, reinsert battery and switch on and check. 7. play with your phone by doing reconfiguring it to your settings and check.
Try taking out your battery * and sim card if you have one* for 30 seconds and putting them both back in and starting up the phone. If that does not work you may have scratched the screen and that could stop the touch screen from working
Turn the phone off. Take the battery out then remove your sim card. Before reinstalling the battery hold the power on botton down for about 15 seconds. Replace the sim card then the battery and power the phone on. If this does not fix the problem and you can access the setup menu for the phone restore the setting to factor defaults. Good luck hope this works for you.
