I would say you need a repairman for this. unless you can use a meter and solder well.

The only really thing you can try is to unplug it for 5 mins and then plug it back in. this might reset the tv... but do not bet on it.
good luck :)

i think you are having a power supply problem.

i would say you need a repairman for this. unless you can use a meter and solder good.
the convergence board might have shorted causing this. or it could be something in the power supply.
this could be several different circuits in the tv . power supply and convergence circuits are the most common.

Hi,

The easiest would be to try a reset by unplugging from the mains for a couple of hours to dissipate residual power and hopefully revert the unit back to factory defaults.

A known common issue with this series/models from Samsung is failure on the convergence board. Often the fault is sensed by the built-in protection circuitry that kicks in and auto shutdown the unit to prevent damage extending to other areas such as the power supply board. Should this be the case and though the repair is pretty straightforward, often an alignment would have to be done after the repairs.

Suggested course of action:

  • DIY (do-it-yourself);
  • seek the services of a qualified professional.
Should you venture into a DIY, pls be reminded that repair jobs calls for familiarity with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your advantage to have access and use a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage measurements. An important factor to be considered is safety when working with electrically powered devices.

If indeed the convergence board prove to be the culprit, these information may be useful:
  • CG/AMP Board P/N AA95-02002A original Samsung;
  • replacement P/N BP94-00383A.
An alternative is to do component level repair where only the defective ICs (STKs), resisotrs and possibly capacitors need to be replaced.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

It is of course also possible that no components/parts are defective. There are instances that the fault in the CG/AMP Board are cold solders and repairs is reapplication of heat with a soldering iron.

You have mentioned you get a click sound when you power on tv this problem occurs when any of these components like ballast ,CG amp board or capacitors receive high voltage .

Is the sound is like a high pitched note...? This could be coming from a high voltage area inside your Tv.

I would suggest is you double check the setting routing and check for mechanical misalignment of the mirrors, etc. when you get the picture going again
Let me know.

Try first unplugging power cord for fifteen minutes.

The click is because the TV is in protect mode.

The TV does not turn on because there is an internal problem, like a
short, a bad voltage, or more commonly a faulty component (IC ,
    capacitor etc.).

The tv is in protect mode, try first unplugging power cord for one hour, and see if this solve the problem.

When this happen, the main Chip inside your TV
detects that there is a fault, and send the TV in protect mode,
activating a safety switch that prevents TV from turning on. The switch
keeps turning off the tv, and that is the clicking noise that you can
    hear.

Unless you have experience as a TV repair, try first
keeping TV unplugged for one hour or more. This will reset TV circuts
draining power completely, and sometimes can wake up the TV from
    protect mode.

If it does not work, that means that there is a
defective component inside the TV. In this case I suggest calling the
phone number listed on the user manual to get support from manufacturer.

No picture.

Could be a number of things. Check Q423, Q431, R449 also check all your supply voltage legs to see if any are shorted or loaded down.

My blue color is off...HCN4226W.

If the blue is shifted away from the rest of the picture and maybe bowed then try the manual convergence adjustment. My guess is the red will move but the blue won't. If I'm correct call a tech unless you are a skilled solderer, then replace the large STK amps in the Convergence circuit and check all of the resistors in the circuit. Good Luck.
