Question about Panasonic PT-47WX49 47" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Pt-47wx49e convergence problem

Convergence1 vertical line has bow and kink in it which moves with adjustment. Covergence2 + are distorted especially in corners of screen.
Convergence of colors has an hour glass effect with top and bottom of screen having color seperation while center of screen convergence is fine.
Top 3" of screen has green shadowing and seems to be offset from rest of picture.

I just replaced the 2 convergance chips, but it did not seem to fix the problem. I then tested all the resistors that feed the convergence chips anf there was a 2.2 ohm fusable blown. IT was R7050 on mine. That seemed to fix it so that I could adjust all the colors through the convergence 2 screen. There seems to be a slight bow near the bottom when you look at the c2 screen, but not noticable when you are watching a picture. Since I got this broken, I am not sure how perfect it should be.

If anyone can send me the service manual, I would appretiate it. Thanks.
