Do you know what version of Windows you are using? I'm tempted to guess that it's Windows Vista, since Microsoft's newest operating system is having a lot of compatibility problems with a lot of software and hardware (not just HP printers).

From the way you word your issue, it sounds like you were successfully printing before and then suddenly, you started having this problem. The only thing I found on HP.com that even sort of applies is the following:

System Check has Determined that your System does not Match the Minimum Requirements

That doesn't sound like a good match for how you describe your problem, but it wouldn't hurt to look the document over anyway, just in case.

Sometimes these sorts of problems can be cured by uninstalling and reinstalling the HP printer software. If you have the disk that came with the printer, it should be as easy as inserting the disk into your computer and selecting the Uninstall option. Here's the link with detailed instructions:

Uninstalling the All-in-One Software in Microsoft Windows

That's about all I can come up with. Good luck.

Before you install any driver into a windows 7 computer, you should use troubleshoot compatibility. It will allow you to choose on what type of Operating system you would like your program to run with. Right click the icon of your program installer then choose troubleshoot compatibility afterwards. Maybe, it's because of the incompatibility of your driver. Reply back if it still does not work:D

Please try to follow the instructions outlined in this article to resolve this error. Also possibly helpful will be this article.
Unfortunately, before you can do so, you will have to resolve the print cartridge error. This will most likely require some routine cleaning. Follow the instructions to do so outlined here and here.
To access further resources for your printer, see the home support page at HP here.
Also check to make sure you have the latest drivers and software installed for your particular OS, as old drivers could cause communication errors in your network.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Will not print

“All lights blinking and printer not responding” is indicative of serious ink cartridge issue. Usually when this happens the printer fails to goes through the motions of the printing process, kind of stands still with indicator lights just blinking away. This could be as a result of either of these scenarios.
i. Ink cartridge has developed incompatibility or is incompatible
The Solution is to try an older/another cartridge (doesn’t matter if ink is finished. You must replace cartridge one at a time). If lights stop blinking it confirms that your cartridge has become incompatible or developed incompatibility. Also if your printer is the type that can work with only one cartridge, remove one after the other (closing back the lid/cover) to determine which in the set (black or color) has become incompatible. At the instance the incompatible one is removed and you close the lid, the blinking will stop (for printers that can print with one ink cartridge only). Just replace the incompatible one and start printing again. In most cases the issue is always with one cartridge. But if both are affected, you have to replace both. Because of this type of problem, always keep used cartridges somewhere safe; they come in handy for this type of troubleshooting.
ii. The Cartridge electronic panel is dirty
The electronic panel on the cartridge that makes contact with the cartridge carrier inside the printer is dirty and needs cleaning. This electronic panel is front part of the cartridge with copper “dots”.
The Solution is to try to clean this panel with a piece of folded tissue paper soaked in a bit of methylated spirit. Also try to clean the area in the cartridge carrier/holder that makes contact with the cartridge’s electronic panel (Usually this is more difficult). If you cannot reach it with your fingers, use a stick or something with tissue wrapped around it. Allow to dry well and return the cartridges, close the cover. The blinking should stop if the electronic panel is the issue. Once the blinking stops the printer will print.

Prop Res DLL window keeps popping up when I open a word document. I cannot print tells me there is no printer connected which there is. Suddenly will then print helpppppppppppppp

The printer driver is corrupted or additions associated with the printer are incompatible. Try printing from word to a PDF, MS Imager, or another printer. If you get the error you will need to look under tools > "templates and Addins" or "Options". More likely it is that printer only, in which case uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and software.
