I can see the frames of different past recordings, and can play them fine, but, when I close that screen, expecting to see TV through the DVD, all I get is "UNUSABLE SIGNAL"... which means I can no longer record. What in the world has happened? Please someone...

- Channel for the TV must be set to channel 3 normally, but I'm pretty sure that I must select the who/input button on my RCA remote to be able to see recorded DVDs. I would expect that the same source setup would let me see the playbacks and see live tv and record, butI think that must bypass the TV somehow.
I cannot record anymore, but the TV should be on 3 and I record whatever channel the cable box is on.
The cable box is a Scientific Atlanta... installed in 2002... that's all I know (away from home).
When I stop playing a DVD, the screen goes back to "no input" or some such message with a blue screen.
I don't know how to try changing/cycling through the different input/source of the Panasonic DVD nor changing/cycling through the different input/source of the Panasonic DVD
I have a Wii game console in my setup. BELOW is my whole setup:
1) From wii proprietary cable to ----> input B of an A/B switchbox
Using triplet (white, red, yellow) audio/video connections....
2) From Panasonic DMR-E75V to ----> Input A of the A/B switchbox
3) From the A/B switchbox out to -----> TV
Using cable connections:
From wall cable to ----> cable box
From cable box to ----> Panasonic DMR-E75V (rf IN)
From Panasonic DMR-E75V (rf OUT) to ----> TV
Perhaps in my jumbling trials of variations, I have messed this routing up. I hope this tells you something. Please help. Thank you for answering me.

Technically I have a Wii game console in my setup that must be considered, as it turns out. BELOW is my whole setup:

- So you think my connections setup is correct?
I am pretty sure that when I try to record cable TV as your last instruction illustrated, when I set the RCA to input... that is when I get the "unusable signal" or similar error language with blue screen. j
I will test it again later today and post again,. Thanks. Nov 01, 2008
- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
The trick was the Panasonic DVD recorder/player being SET ON CHANNEL 3 like the TV!! Somehow that had been changed by whomever.
It works perfectly now! Thank you for the wonderful reply, which contained the magical answer to my problem!!
