Nothing on keypad for my microwave works

Be very careful around microwaves they have very high voltage inside them that can be deadly. As for the control panel its very common for grease and oil to get behind the plastic film of the control panel, once it does the buttons will stop working since the grease insulates the contacts. Unplug it from the power, let it sit for 60 minutes to make sure all power from the high voltage caps has dissipated. Get access to the back of the control panel. You will probably have to peel back the control plastic on the front to get behind it. One behind clean all the buttons and contact areas. Reassemble, and it should work.

No key's work. Display and inside light is working

The Keypad is either faulty, or disconnected. Open the case, and remove the screws, holding the outer shell on. Inside, there should be a small board that covers the Keypad. Check to see if there is a ribbon cable, or some other type of connection going from the board to another part of the microwave. If all of the wires are connected, then you will probably need to replace the keypad.

LG touchpad doesn't work

use the common sense, logically, fix it. God bless you
a stuck key or non-responsive key, most of the time you will have to replace the keypad for this microwave oven repair. If your keypad is connected to your control board by a flat ribbon wire, try disconnecting it and clean the silver contacts with an ordinary pencil eraser. After cleaning, plug it back in and try it. If it doesn't fix it, replace the keypad unit. Some units actually have keypad tests to confirm your diagnosis of a bad key.If your keypad and control is the same unit, replace that unit. Another note, unlike stove/oven keypads and controls, most microwaves do not have error codes or tests to distinguish whether it is truely the keypad or control. Most of the time, it is the keypad that needs replacing, but a small percentage of the time it can be the control. Check the tech sheet if they can point you to the right part.

LG microwave LMVM2075ST panel started acting crazy after I cleaned it. Will not do anything if I push a button except beeping noises. Any suggestions as to what is going on with this machine? Should I try...

liquid probably has entered keypad laminate; causing a short. unplug unit, direct warm hairdryer to entire keypad; plug back in; and hope for the best. if no luck; replace keypad. also never spray anything directly onto keypad; always clean with a moistened towel with light force.

Keypad on the microwave doesn't work

well if you find out that your microwave keypad is not working, like those numbers or letters are not working, there's a 16 or 8 plug cords wire attach to the keypad and the motherboard.you need to clean that with normal water temperture.than dry it for about 10-20 minutes.

I garintie you it will work.

LG LMVM2055SB over the range microwave keys not working

Is it possible someone may have sprayed cleaner directly onto the keypad area?

This causes moisture to get into the keypad and sometimes onto the control board.

This could mean that they control panel frame with keypad (membrane switch) would need to be replaced.

Can you give more details on the cleaning?

Touch-pads unresponsive

Some newer models have a child lock feature which can be accessed via a HELP or CUSTOM HELP pad. On recent LG models, try pressing the "0" key for 5 seconds. You may also have a bad keypad, which in many cases can be replaced. A bad keypad may be worn out due to age, damaged, or it may have gotten wet or otherwise contaminated. Has anyone ever sprayed cleaner directly on the keypad? Has anyone ever boiled on the stovetop without running the hood vent fan? Is the hood vent clogged? Any of these can cause moisture buildup on the control circuit board or in the keypad, which can cause odd problems like this. I warn my customers to never spray cleaner directly onto the microwave keypad, since the liquid can get inside and "lock up" or even ruin the keypad or controller. Apply an alcohol-based cleaner (such as the purple kind) to a cloth (since paper towels can scratch) and gently wipe it off. I suggest to my customers that they NEVER use any ammonia-based cleaner (like the blue stuff) on a microwave, since the ammonia will crack and distort polycarbonate plastics. Microwave Keypad not working

This model does have a child lock. If it's on, the display will say "LOCKED". It is turned on and off by holding dfown the "0" key for 4-5 seconds. You may also have a bad keypad, which in many cases can be replaced. A bad keypad may be worn out due to age, damaged, or it may have gotten wet or otherwise contaminated. Moisture and contamination can be caused by spraying of cleaners, by storing the microwave in an unheated garage or shed, or infestation. I warn my customers to never spray cleaner directly onto the microwave keypad, since the liquid can get inside and "lock up" or even ruin the keypad or controller. Apply an alcohol-based cleaner (such as the purple kind) to a cloth (paper towels can scratch) and gently wipe it off. Stopped working, Display reads all 8's

It sounds like a shorted keypad. This can be due to age/wear or due to moisture. If the unit is sevewral years old or has ben used a lot, then age and wear can be suspected. Moisture is most often due to spraying cleaner directly on the keypad, which allows it to leak into the works. Always spray your cleaner on a soft cloth and then wipe the keypad clean. Moisture can also get in if the microwave is mounted above a stove and a lot of boiling is done without adequate ventilation, usually via the exhaust or hood fan. This fan should be on when cooking on the range top. In some cases, there may be some deposits on the keypad strip where it goes into the connector on the control circuit board. Sometimes that can be cleaned by unplugging then replugging the strip. Could it be that you're not setting the manual according to the instructions in the owner's manual? The manual is olnine at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200507/20050727140356453_DE68-01945A[GB].pdf I have attached a scren shot from the manual which shows the clock setting procedure. Maybe it's as simple as this.
