Make sure the USB device is formatted to FAT32.
I use both a 1GB Creative Zen nano and a 120GB Freecom mobile drive XXS with no problems other than the fact that the freecom has WAY more folders thatthe head unit can read!

Radio will not hold sirius signal have to keep getting it refreshed

does it hold any memory, ( i.e BASS / TREBLE settings etc...?)
if not, pull the head unit out & swop the RED & YELLOW wires over, either by cutting them and re joining them red to yellow & yellow to red, or by pulling them out of the ISO block & switching them over..

When i put my usb it shows unknown error and it doesn't starts

not all usb drives will work. a simple usb pen drive will mount itself ok, but one with extra mounted drives or protection...eg Sandisk Cruzer won't as the need to 'mount' the memory area as a drive and require a more sophisticated usb interface to do this

Same thing for external usb hard drives

It sounds like your amps over heating or something is being grounded out. Once it's running and it shuts off, check your power wire for heat, check your amp for heat, and check all your terminals including where the wires go into your box on the red and black. Even your amp could be touching metal and might be why it's shutting off.
