MAG LT776s Monitor power cord

I misplaced my DC 12v 4.0A power cord and want to know where I could get another one or one that would work with this monitor.

That is funny, I have same problem, except that we have too many power cords, and don't know which is correct. One that we use the screen will flicker once in a while, the other makes a buzzing noise. The solution was great if it works, we tried ordering from 12 volt battery .com. I hope it is a legitamate site. I tracked down MAG Innovision, and they said you had to buy it from the manufacturer because it was proprietary. But she also said it was a 12 volt, and 4-5 amp power supply. Thank you fixya if it works.

I bought a mag innovision model 780 monitor at a garage sale to use with my ACER mini laptop. This monitor has a manufacture date of January 2003 - it did not come with a power supply. Where is the power...

With Most Mag monitors, the plug is a simple 3 prong on the bottom side of the monitor. Though it isn't proprietary, it isn't a common power plug either. Radio Shack does carry this type of cord. Just look on the bottom side of the monitor itself. the three round plug "thingy" is where the 110v plugs in straight from the wall. Best of Luck!

Power supply to Mag 780 Model

No, it has a normal, seperate power cord. But the socket in the monitor is very small, it's a small round one. When facing the monitor from the back, it's located directly to the right of the monitor-stand, at the bottom-side of the screen. Just put the monitor on it's side to see it clearly.

It's all explained with pictures in your monitor's manual which you can download from the official website here: http://www.maginnovision.com/Support/Downloads.aspx?sn=464

The plug end (to the monitor) is a partial square end with three top angles. That plugs into the back of the monitor. You can see the plug socket from the underside.

Factory mode on Mag Innovision LT776s 17 in

Sounds like one of 2 things.
  1. The internal bios of the monitor has failed and the monitor is pretty much wanting to know what to do. It is of course waiting to be programmed as it would have in the factory.
  2. Someone has knocked the front panel accidently pressing a combination of buttons to put it into factory mode. This is normally POWER + MENU held together when switching on. The only problem with this theory is after a power down, it should reset to nomal mode. It can be a different combination of buttons also, like AUTO and POWER or even all three together.

I dont know about capacitors or regulators i just need to know how to turn this thing on.

on the specs from ebay I see you need a 12v dc 5 amp ac power adapter .
normally they have an led , but if you can't get power you will have to verify that you have the 12v at the tip, you will need a multimeter or 12v bulb connected to the end.
if your getting power then the panels circuit is at fault.
talk to a local geek about checking it out.

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
