Turns off 10 second after i turn it on

Check in the Menu for a sleep timer or some type of timer that is shutting it off automatically. It should be in the TV's menu under the power settings or something similar.

If that's not it, or that doesn't work for you, leave the Television unplugged for a while (long enough for all of the settings to reset) and then plug it back in and see if the problem persists. If so, you may have to get the TV serviced.

I hope this helps :)

James

Try blowing a fan across the television where it will help to cool the inner components and see if that helps. If it does, then you definitely have a fan out in the TV and it will need serviced. If it doesn't help, something else is wrong with the TV and it may need serviced. Or you could try unplugging it for a while to reset some things on it, and then power it back on and try again.

I hope this helps :)

TV turns it self off, after a few seconds of being on.

This television has had a problem with component failure. It turns on and then when it turn off it is going into protection mode to prevent further damage. The circuits in the television will go into this mode when they sense unusual voltage or current levels in the circuits. This television need to be tested for faulty component operation. The Customer support telephone number for Toshiba is 1-800-631-3811. Call them and give them the model number of your television and ask them where the nearest authorized service center is and for a telephone number. Give them a call and ask them how much they charge to estimate repairs for your model television. They should be able to help you. Then you can evaluate whether not it is worth repairing or replacing. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Tv turns itself off after bout ten seconds

Your over voltage circuits(hi-voltage and low voltage) are defective. When the voltage exceeds the specs it shuts off the tv.Unless your a service tech, you can't fix this. There are components on the main circuit tha t have to be changed.Sorry, no easy fix.

The vcr carriage was probably damaged ( broken gear or carriage gear, etc ), As for repairing it, it may not be worth it and chances are, you won't find a new carriage for the unit. I have, in the past, disarmed the VCR unit and at least the customer could watch the TV. Thats not possible in every set, but it seems to work in the majority of them. Good Luck

My Tv is turning off by itself

if all you want to do is disable the vcr portion turn the set on , install a blank vhs tape it has to be blank or the vcr will try to read it .and the tv and dvd should work fine. this is a timing problem in the vcr deck its not hard to fix but it is a pain.
