Re: change printer ink
Turn on the printer.
lower th epirnter's output tray, pull out the extension, and open the cover.
press and release the ink button.
if your ink lights is on or flashing, the printer head moves to the left, and the cartridge that need to be replaced stops under the ink out mark.
open the cartridge cover
Pinch the back tab of the empty cartridge as your left it out of the printer.
shake the ink cartridge 4 to 5 times while it is still in the package. unwarp the new ink cartridge and lower it into the holder. Push down gently until the cartridge is firmly seated.
repeal the procedure if more than one ink cartridge is out.
close the cartridge cover.
close the printer cover and press the ink button.
The green power light flashes and the printer makes noise. charge takes about a minutes. When it's finished, the green power light stops flashing and stay on, and the red ink light should go out.

Good day. I hope this steps can help you in replacing your cartridges. This how i remember doing it. Just follow these steps.
>Make sure the power light is on, but not flashing. >Open the printer cover and the output tray. >Press the ink button. The ink cartridge holder moves to the ink cartridge check position and the power light begins to flash.
>Press the ink button again.
If more than one ink cartridge is expended or low, the ink cartridge holder moves to the mark. This occurs each time you press the ink button until all expended or low ink cartridges have been indicated. Once all of the expended or low ink cartridges
have been indicated, the ink cartridge holder moves to the ink cartridge
replacement position when you press the ink button.
>Open the cartridge cover and place the ink cartridge into the cartridge holder with the bottom down.
Then push down the ink cartridge until it clicks into place. Then close the cartridge cover >Press the ink button and then the printer moves the ink cartridge holder and begins charging the ink delivery system
Hope this will help you a bit with your ink cartridge replacement problem. Have a great day.

Easy solution: Press The index sheet button and the scan button at the same time. In the printers window 'set up' will appear. using the left right arrows proceed to 'Ink cartridge replacement'. Press 'start'. The ink cartridge holder will align itself in the middle of the space where it is easy to remove the cartridges. I am disgusted with Epson making this so diificult to figure out. Once you know..then you know. but no amount of guesswork would have come up with the solution
Hi, one of your ink cartridges are empty, to check which cartridge needs replacing press the stop button, the carriage will move across to the left and sit below a pointer. This will point to the empty cartridge.
Press the stop button again, the carriage will move across either to display another empty cartridge or to the position to allow you to change the cartridge.
This can also be checked using the Status monitor software on the PC.
