Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

2 Answers

Word 2007 My computer had a faulty motherboard and started crashing all the time and then rebooting. The motherboard was replaced today. However, now I cannot access my Word file and folders, even though they are still showing up in Word. I keep getting a message that says, "This file is not available." I can open pictures and other items in Word, just not documents that I created in Word. Also, I cannot access any new documents that I create and save in Word. I tried reinstalling my Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 but that didn't help.

One bad lead or faulty connection point can cause a computer to shutdown continue restarting on a cycle or fail to detect your hard drive boot up

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause you problems computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these devices are working

check the CPU make sure it has thermal paste and dust free secure seating

also check your computer ram modules and cmos battery make sure it has charge and they are dust free and securely seated some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope it helps

Tip

My Computer will NOT start up blank screen?

So, your computer wont start up? What to do? First disconnect all attached devices, Then we must check to see if there is any Power, Try unit in another power point, if Power Point proved OK, then try & change the Power Lead in, proved OK, then Check the Power Supply, do you see the Fan "Kick"? On the Power Supply AND the CPU Fan inside, proved OK, then Check to see if there is power to the Motherboard? Often there are LED's that show if power is ON. proved OK? We must now remove the Power from each device, DVD, Hard Drive, leaving ONLY the MotherBoard connected. OK, So we are at the MotherBoard, it still won't power up, everything else has been removed... now remove the RAM. power up, Proved OK, if NOT, then the RAM is your problem replace.it power ON, Proved OK, If not then your MotherBoard is Faulty, proved OK, then start attaching devices and re-starting & rebooting each time until you find the one that stops the PSU. That is your problem. At each step if you don't have a, proved OK, then, that last step was your faulty bit, replace or remove.
What we have to do is at each juncture we must test each item in turn, and do a reboot each time connecting & disconnecting to prove the faulty bit.
So say we have tested all from Power Socket to MotherBoard & RAM all test OK, then we start to attach the hard drive & it won't power up, or say it was the DVD, This then is the source of your problems.

Crash when re-connected to power supply

Go into msconfig and disable all your programs then let the notebook reboot. After it reboots and goes back into windows. Try to unplug it and plug it back in and see if it does the same thing, if so then you might need to wipe out the drive and start over fresh. If it doesn't crash on you after disable the programs and unplug and replug then you have some software that isn't interfering with the power options that controls windows.

Restarte again and agian

check your cmos CR2032 battery on the motherboard as this can cause restarts because of bios settings, when booting press F2 or Del and check the date and time to see if incorrect. Also it maybe a faulty driver causing the crash, you can tell the bios to halt on all errors instead of rebooting, this can be found in the main cmos settings menu normally below the list of drives and check to see if halt on all errors is enabled, this way you can try to see what is causing the reboots.
