Question about Amana Kitchen Ranges
If the oven broiler lights, but the bake manifold does not, you more than likely have a bad igniter. There is a separate igniter for the bake and broil manifolds. Since the bake feature gets used more frequently, it is common for it to wear out faster. The following link explains oven igniters:
You can remove the bottom panel of the oven and the flame spreader to get a good view of the igniter for an initial visual inspection. NOTE: Just because an igniter glows, does not mean it is good. As I stated before, they do become weaker with age and may not produce enough current to open the gas valve. I hope this information helps you.
