Motherboard replacement can the D845epi motherboard be changed with the p4b-mx motherboard, the boards fit the computer, althought the memory cards are different, that is all I know. could you please help me?

Yes , like you said the only difference is the type of memory: one uses DDR the PC100/PC133
Of course DDR is better . The Processor socket is the 478 on both.

The only question would be if it's going into a proprietary case like a Dell, HP or Compaq, so on. Or is it going into an "clone" case. Some proprietary units have the front panel connections in one connector.

Only diff is the d845 has a 2 gig cap on RAM and the p4b supports 3 gig.

Yes, but will work only if you put a right cpu processor (FSB).
Because you have different FSB (533in one and 400 in another)
Both are socket 478, same AGP slot 4x

Is there any specific memory card brand and value for ASUS P4V533-MX? I want to upgrade my computer's RAM from 256MB to 1Ghz, I bought two DDR1 512MB surplus memory cards with different brand name, neither...


This mother board Support only DDR333 PC133 SDRAMS. Check the lebel of your newly bought memory modules whether it matches or not. If not then you should replace them.

Are you sure your board even uses dip switches? If so then you just need to visit Asus's support website, download the manual (pdf) and there's your answer.

I think the problem is on your motherboard, because in this time windows is not loaded yet. So, check out your motherboad, or take it to service center (if you have no experience in hardware fixing)

normally if the monitor is not working after switchin on the computer its the memory card remove the memory card and insert it rightly or some time with graphics card if bult in reset ur bios

Firewire PCI pcb won't work


just do this: check out the bios wether the option for pci slot is (yes) or (no).if it is no change it to yes. this may help ur problem
