Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera
Connect the USB cable to the jack on the left side of the camera, and the pc, then turn on the camera. The camera should say 'busy' and if you right click 'start' then 'explore' you should see the camera pop up on the root directory. From there you can copy/cut/paste/delete/whatever.
your other option is to use a CF compact flash card reader, take the card out of the camera and stick it in the reader.
