My JVC stereo fix....UG

Hey there...I tried your needle trick, was soooo stoked too! It seemed like it was gonna work...I let the needle sit there for a day and snipped it this morning only to have the little plastic flange it was sunk into to snap in half. I had to keep it in the hole while I drove the hot needle into the plastic and I guess the heat weakened the flange...Now I have a kinda fixed spring loaded faceplate with no way to anchor it...

Oh, well, thanks for the idea, it shoulda worked, I blew it :(

HAVING AUDIO ISSUES, THE SUB CHANNEL WORKS GREAT, BUT ALL THE SUDDEN THE MIDS NO LONGER WORK. I TOOK TOP OFF AND CHANNELS SEEM TO BE IN TACT. ANY IDEAS

try resetting it if it has a reset button see if that works. also, disconnect one of the speaker wires(like green, and green w/black stripe) from behind the unit and try connecting it direct to a speaker that you know is working. if it works your stereo is fine and the issue might be an amp or a short in the wires. If you try all that and all fails, your signal processor chip inside the stereo might have shorted. thats the one that gets bolted to the rear of the stereo(inside) against the chasis. it will have some thermal paste on it when you remove the housing. just telling you this in case you want to try and fix it yourself. now, make sure you don't erase or fudge the processor(chip) model number. go here and see if they have it before you take it off(if you want to try and fix yourself). www.pacparts.com, these guys have everything pioneer, jvc, and kenwood...i mean everything.

JVC KD-SH9101 RESET06 and the front panel don't move normally

ok from what i can gather it sounds like something broke inside the unit and you might wanna replace it. Im sure you can find a much better radio really cheap. I had a similar JVC model and it gave me headaches. I think you will love this model instead. Trust me its soooo much better and priced really well for its capabilities.

if you go to your local audio store they should sell a kit to wire in your radio, so you dont have to cut any wire on your car it will just plug right in to the factory wiring

HELP ME JVC GEEKS! Spring problem keeping faceplate on....

this might seem ridiculous but try heating up a needle that is no more then half the size of the nub and sticking it in the dead centre of the nub, once its cooled down cut off however much of the needle you have to and see if that works, an even more ghetto way of fixing it would be shoving a small straw over the nub to extend it.
good luck

Hey dude,
The red wire is your power wire, the brown wire is your ignition wire and the black wire is the earth wire
