Question about HP Printers & Copiers
If the paper jams as it is going into the unit, I would clean all the rubber gears that you see, use a damp cloth moisten with a little dish washing soap. Make sure the cloth is damp, not dripping.
Take the paper tray out and you will see the rubber gears underneath, and there is a rubber gear in the paper tray itself, along with a small pad. clean them too.
If the paper jams inside the unit as it goes into the fuser assembly. Then the fuser assembly has to be replaced and it would be better to buy another printer. I just saw the 5P for $85 on the web. But I would buy an updated model. Printers have come down in cost quite a bit.
