Question about Sewing Machines
The bobbin wont wind. The motor runs but the bobbin does not turn to wind the cotton on
If I understand the problem, the bobin winder has probably lost a rubber 'o' ring.
Unscrew the two top screws and remove the top cover. At the base of the bobin spindle is a metal disk that should have a rubber 'o' ring on it. This will perish over time and break off.
When the bobin winder is pushed sideways into the active position, this should contact the main turning handle thingy (that's a technical term) and be spun around. Check if the bobin 'o' ring is making contact or if it is even there at all. Any sewing machine repair shop (or good automotive store if you're desperate) will have a replacement.

I had this problem and fixed it by using a little double stick tape (or just fold over some normal tape) I gently taped the bobbin to the base of the shaft and then I didn't have any problems winding at all. The main problem was anytime there was even the least amount of tension on the thread, the shaft would spin but the bobbin wouldn't spin with it - as if the bobbin was too loose. Hope this fix works for you too, it was really easy!
