Sony Trinitron Model KV20FV10- when I turn it on the Sound comes on BUT no picture and the red light for the Standby Times keeps flashing non-stop.

How many times do this standby light blinks. It is fault indications. You can get an idea about the faulty section inside the TV, by counting these blinks occurs at one time switch ON. These are called blinking codes. For more details about blinking codes to Sony brand TVs, check this link. Pull up older posts there. Surf the site with patience.

1) I have a Sony KV-32FS13 that has a green tint in the picture. Does any oneknow how to access the service menu for this model? I tried other adjustments and I can't get rid of the annoying green...

Code 5 is "AKB error". AKB, or auto kine bias, is a cicuit that monitors the three color guns of the picture tube (red, green and blue) and tries to adjust them for proper color balance. If it can't, the picture is blanked (usually) and the timer/standby light blinks 5 times. When the color drives aren't balanced, you see a color tint in the picture like you're describing.

There might be a problem in the AKB circuit, or the picture tube may just be old enough that the AKB circuit has run out of adjustment range. If the tube is at fault, you should consider replacing the set. A new tube will cost nearly as much as a new 32-inch LCD TV, and you'll need to pay someone to install it and set it up. There are special tools required to perform the convergence which gets the color guns aligned with the face of the tube so they hit the right colors.

If you'd like to try tinkering with the service menu adjustments, this site explains how to access the menu and gives a list of settings.

Sony wega trinitron(1999) KV-36FV15 Moved tv now audio no video

Seven blinks, pause, seven blinks, etc. means "Horizontal deflection stopped" and indicates a serious problem, probably on the D or DZ board (whichever is applicable).

If this is the case, the TV will have to be serviced by a professional.

I hope this helps :)

James

Have a sony kd32fs130 and after limited viewing the picture goes out. I still continue to have sound but no picture and the red light blinks. Which part I need to change?

How many times red light blinks when TV lost picture? There would be interval of 3 seconds in red light blinks so count pause to pause and let me know.

Sony Trinitron Color TV KV-35V65 - No Picture, red light stand/by timer flashing

A reset won't fix this. The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a 3 second pause inbetween. Post that count here. That will indicate the circuit/condition that is preventing the set from turning on.

Thanks,
Dan

Sony Trinitron KV-29RS22 Blinks

Sounds like the high voltage is marginal.
My experiance is to not put money into a TV that is over ten years old. TVs stress out their electronic components worse than almost any other electronic product. After 10 years, there are so many parts that are ready to fail that your are probably wasting your money trying to get any more life out of it.
Another option is to wholesale replace the main board by sending it to Module Exchange at 972-298-1212,
or PTS Electronics 800-844-7871 ptscorp.com.
Be careful on buying a new one though. Often times, these new technology ones are much worse. Always Google the model number of the set you intend to buy and add the word 'repair' or 'complaint' to see if it is one of the many models that are customer service nightmares being produced by even the most reputable companies today.
Hope ya fix it!
