Tv will not come on

Chec wiring..adisconnect somewhere

If the power light also changes or goes off there is a problem in your TV. If the power light does not change, the TV is staying on.
Press menu to see if any words come on the screen. If they do, wait for them to go away and make sure your cable box is on.
If the cable box is on, make sure the input/source is the same as where you have something connected to the TV.

Hi. It could be one of a few parts
I.e main board you say the TV stays on I.e standby light stays on OK.
if so try shining a torch into the screen while the TVs on see if you see any pictureor menu when pressed on remote .if so possibly backlight issue.
try darken thye room your in when shining a torch at the screen
. What's your make and model number
as it could be tcon or main board issue even

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. upon hitting the power button, the red light showing on the front of the tv should flash a couple of times, the screen should come on and the light goes off..the red "stand by " light stays on and we cannot get the screen to come up..needless to say, cannot get to the menu to change any display options...any suggestions?

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

I think this is right. I got it from the JVC call centers guys so sorry if I missed or messed up a step.

It sounds like your TV is set at Shop Mode. To veify that turn on your TV and press the info button on your remote, some info will be displayed, If Shop Mode appear please follow the next steps...

In order to change that mode turn on your tv, press the volume key (either one) on your front or side panel (Depends of the model you have) the volume bar will appear, once this happend press the menu key on the front or side panel and hold it for like 7 seconds, "Dynamic" symbol will appear at your screen this means that you are not longer at Shop mode. You can double check by pressing info button at your remote

Same as mine...wiggle the connector and see if you get a picture. If so, loose connection inside.
