Do an old fashioned dethaw of your icemaker. Remove food in compartment, unplug or turn off freezer. Leave doors closed, and get a thick towel and a pot of boiling water. Place the towel under the pot, close the door, and let the heat from the pot warm up that frozen freezer vent. That will clear the ice so the fan can draw cold air out into the freezer
it could be that your fridge,freezer setting is not turned up high enough to keep the freezer cold enough.turn it up to setting number 5 at least and if that dont do it u could have a faulty thermostat.have it checked by a engineer.
From room temperature if just plugged in rule of thumb is 24hrs to properly reach temp. Place a glass half full of water in shelf when is frozen solid the unit should be plenty cold enough to keep food. It is always a good idea to get a small fridge thermometer to make sure of temp.
Hello. I can help. Once we notice anything different from before we start becoming more aware of small variations. Regarding things on the top shelf warmer than on the bottom, this is always true because, "warm air rises and cold air falls". If you want the top shelf colder turn the thermostat to the next colder setting, always a good idea in the Summer season anyway.
Even though your gasket looks good, a ten year old gasket is not as pliable as a new one resulting in the moisture problem you describe. I would begin by applying a thin coating of vaseline to the gasket once a week for a month. This little trick of the trade will often work. If it doesn't improve the situation do replace the gasket.
The model number would help but it sounds like a sealed system leak or restriction. If thats the case I would not suggest trying this yourself. The water should freeze overnight and the frost should keep going to all the shelfs that have coils in them.
