You could be experiencing similar problem to me. I'd discovered it was the M51978P chip that was gone.

To Kishubuti- The powerboard in this projector is a LiteOn pa-5281-1c-lf . I cannot find a M51978P chip on this board or any board in the unit. There are 2 LM324ADG 14 Pin chips on the power board. Does your un it have the same powerboard?

Hitachi LCD TV looks like no power but power cord checks good

Hello
Eventhough the fuses and power cord os good, and there is no power light on the panel board, means the power board do not get power to it. Check an other power outlet point first. If it does not help you, soethnig wring with the power regulator baord. Normally, these board are irreparable, and replacement should be done as card basis. OK.

I have ViewSonic PJ506D DLP Projector it will power up but the lamp wont come on relaced lamp still have problem

Check the power supply , it can be a fault on the power being inadequate or there is an error to the processor that seems to cut off power. try and check the lamp connections, check the lamp door switch, the filters- clean if dirty

Reset the lamp timer on PJ506d

Here's the manual
www.aboutprojectors.com/pdf/viewsonic-pj506d-manual.pdf

On page 24 in 'Advanced Mode', it tells you how to re-set to factory settings, and that will probably include zeroing the lamp hours.
If not, there seems to be nothing else there.
